As per a poll conducted by shiksha.com, more than 46 per cent of the participants mentioned TG ICET 2025 as their preference for MBA admissions. This was followed by 41 per cent candidates preferring only AP ICET for admission.

Shiksha Polls: MBA Aspirants in TG and AP Prefer TGICET 2025 for Admissions

According to a recent poll conducted by Shiksha, 46 per cent of MBA aspirants who participated in the poll have shown a preference for the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TG ICET) for MBA admissions. The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) followed closely, with 41 per cent of the respondents indicating their intention to appear for it. All the respondents of this poll are likely appearing for either TGICET, APICET, or both these exams.

A smaller segment of candidates, about 6 per cent, plan to take both TGICET and APICET. Meanwhile, 7 per cent of the participants stated that they are considering other MBA entrance exams outside of these two regional options. Some of these MBA exams include CAT, XAT, CMAT, SNAP, NMAT, etc.

The poll reflects a slightly higher inclination among aspirants toward TGICET compared to APICET, highlighting competitive interest in MBA programs offered through Telangana-based institutions.

APSCHE is conducting APICET 2025 on May 7 in two different shifts. Whereas, TGCHE will administer TS ICET 2025 on June 8 and 9 with two shifts on each exam day. Notably, the total number of applicants for both exams also vary in the past exam sessions. Typically, APICET receives more than 40,000 applicants, while TGICET receives more than 70,000 applicants.

Currently TGCHE is accepting registrations for TS ICET 2025 exam. Candidates can fill TSICET application form 2025 until May 10 without any late fee. Those who register for TS ICET 2025 after May 10 will have to payu INR 250 as late fee until May 17 and INR 500 as late fee until May 26.

Q:   Is there a difference between TGICET and TSICET exam?

No. there is no difference between the TG ICET and TS ICET exam. With the change of the Telangana state abbreviation from TS to TG, the government bodies and entrance exams are using new abbreviation. TG ICET and TS ICET are the same exams. TS ICET is now known as TG ICET. Similarly, TSCHE is now known as TGCHE. TGICET is a common entrance exam conducted for admission to MBA and MCA courses in Telangana.

Q:   Is it necessary to take coaching from some private institute to write ICET exam or is it better to learn it online (at home)?

Coaching/ Online any option for ICET exam preparation is fine. The private institution will help you n facilitating some tips and tricks, common misconceptions, common mistakes students generally commit. Online will be a virtual preparation method. It will not help you a lot if you are writing ICET exam for the first time. Some tips you should keep in mind during ICET exam are: Don't waste time in doing things and topics which are not much stressed upon. Candidates should choose or select the appropriate study material so that they can easily understand it and it will help them to understand the structure of the exam. Always play safe. Don't go for too high or too low level of the question banks or sample papers. Making a good assessment of the exam preparation by keeping the record of the number of wrong or right answers while solving the sample or previous year question papers is a must. Time plays a crucial role in achieving success. Aspirants are advised to manage time. 150 minutes will be given to the candidates for answering the 200 MCQs. The candidates must keep their eye on the clock as it is obligatory to finish the exam on time. Take mock tests on a regular basis and analyze them well in order to identify your weak and strong sections. Work hard on the weaker sections and convert them also to your stronger ones.
