What is SRMJEEE?

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination or SRMJEEE is conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) once in a year for admission to BTech programmes offered by the institute. SRMJEEE is a university-level exam that acts as a common entrance examination for all SRM Group institutes and universities located at Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, NCR – Ghaziabad, Ramapuram Part – Vadapalani, Amravati, Haryana, and Sikkim.

SRMJEEE 2020 application form has been made available by the SRM Institute of Science & Technology (SRMIST) in the post offices and on its official portal i.e. www.srmist.edu.in. Interested candidates can fill the form both in online as well as offline. The institute has also announced the important dates related to SRMJEEE 2020 application form. The last date for receipt of Offline or OMR application of SRMJEEE 2020 is February 29, 2020. However, the last date to fill the online application form is March 30, 2020. SRMJEEE 2020 will be conducted from April 12 to April 20, 2020.

SRMJEEE 2020 eligibility criteria

Candidates aspiring for the exam are required to check and fulfill the eligibility criteria for SRMJEEE 2020 before filling the application form. SRMJEEE 2020 eligibility criteria will be the conditions that every candidate needs to fulfill if they want to appear for the engineering entrance exam. 

• Aspirants must be a Resident Indian, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India
• NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India who has not taken the SRMJEEE (UG) must apply under International student category only
• Candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the admission year

Faculty of Engineering and Technology:

• All BTech programmes: 

• For Kattankulathur, Ramapuram and Vadapalani campuses: Minimum 60 % aggregate in PCM   

• For NCR, Delhi campus: Minimum 55 % aggregate in PCM                 

  (i)Passed in Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern ) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS.

  (ii)International Baccalaureate (IB) with Diploma, or A-level with Mathematics, Physics, and chemistry as major subjects in any International schools within India

• BTech Biotechnology, B.Tech Biomedical Engineering, and BTech Genetic Engineering: 

         For Kattankulathur, Ramapuram and Vadapalani campuses: Minimum 60 % aggregate in PCM/PCB

         For NCR, Delhi campus: Minimum 55 % aggregate in PCM / PCB

  (i) Passed Higher Secondary examination (10+2 pattern ) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and  Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS

  (ii)International Baccalaureate (IB) with Diploma, or A-level with Physics, Chemistry,  Mathematics or Biology as major subjects in any International schools within India

• Note: Only those Candidates who have passed the  above qualifying examination in not more than 2 attempts including appearance for improvement will be considered for admission

SRMJEEE 2020 Admit Card

SRMJEEE admit card 2020 will be released by SRMIST on its official website. Only Successfully registered candidates will be allowed to download the SRMJEEE 2020 admit card/hall ticket before appearing for the exam. Admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the exam. Moreover, SRMJEEE 2020 admit card will also be required to appear in the counselling and admission process for the institute's different campuses. Candidates must download their admit card of SRMJEEE 2020 within the specified date. 

SRMJEEE 2020 Exam Pattern

SRMJEEE pattern has been announced by SRMIST. The exam will have three sections – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology.  The exam will be conducted according to the prescribed SRMJEEE 2020 exam pattern which has also been released by the exam conducting authorities. SRM institute has also released the SRMJEEE 2020 syllabus which will be the basis of questions asked in the entrance test. SRMJEEE 2020 will be a 2 hours 30 minutes online (computer-based) test having a total of 125 questions distributed under different sections. 

SRMJEEE 2020 Result 

The SRMJEEE 2020 result date will be announced by the authorities on or before April 1. The authorities concerned will use the scores of SRMJEEE 2020 to prepare the merit list. As per the result, qualified candidates will be allowed to participate in the SRMJEEE 2020 counselling which will be another step in the admission process for the exam. SRMJEEE 2020 counselling will be conducted in two rounds in offline mode and seats will be allotted to candidates based on their merit, availability of seats and choice filling.

SRMJEEE 2020 Admission Process

Step 1: Fill SRMJEEE (UG) Application Form

Aspirants can now fill the SRMJEEE (UG) application form in the online mode on the official website of SRM Institute of Science & Technology. Along with the application form, candidates also need to submit the SRMJEEE (UG) 2020 application fee in the online mode through internet banking/credit card/debit card. Step 2: SRMJEEE (UG) Slot booking

Aspirants will be needed to book a slot for SRMJEEE (UG). Without slot booking, aspirants will not be able to download SRMJEEE (UG) admit cards.

Step 3: Download SRMJEEE (UG) Admit Card

Candidates will be able to download SRMJEEE (UG) 2020 admit card from the official website of the institute. SRMJEEE (UG) admit card contains candidate details such as name, roll number, exam date, time, and exam centre address.

Step 4: Appear for SRMJEEE (UG)

Next, candidates will be needed to appear for SRMJEEE(UG) entrance exam at the allotted exam centre as per the date and time specified on the admit card. SRMJEEE(UG) exam consists of multiple-choice questions of 150 marks.

Step 5: Check SRMJEEE (UG) 2020 Result

The institute will upload SRMJEEE (UG) 2020 result on its official website. Aspirants qualifying the entrance exam will then be called for the counselling process.  

Step 6: Appear for SRMJEEE (UG) Counselling

Finally, all candidates qualifying SRMJEEE(UG) will be called for the counselling round. In the counselling round, all candidates will be allotted seats in their respective courses based on merit determined through their performance in the exam.

SRMJEEE 2020 exam day guidelines will be mentioned on the SRMJEEE admit card. Aspirants' are advised to go through the exam day instructions carefully to avoid any last hassle.

What to carry on Exam Day?

SRMJEEE will be conducted online. Thus, candidates need not carry any kind of stationery to the exam centre. They can, however, carry a ballpoint pen for rough work. 

Documents required

Aspirants appearing for SRMJEEE 2020 must ensure that they carry their respective admit cards to the exam centre. Along with the SRMJEEE admit card, aspirants must carry one valid, state/central government-issued photo identification card. The documents that can be carried are:

• Driving license
• Aadhaar card
• PAN card
• Passport
• Voter ID

What not to carry to the exam hall?

The following items will not be allowed inside the exam hall:

• Watches
• Jewellery
• Cell Phones
• Calculators etc
