Purpose of exam: AEEE is entrance exam for admission to 19 unique BTech programs offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham across its 8 campuses. The Amrita BTech admission via AEEE includes registering using AEEE mode, booking exam slots, downloading the admit card, appearing for the exam, checking the result and registering for the Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP).

Scores accepted by Amrita campuses: Eight Amrita campuses offering BTech - Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil and Haridwar accept AEEE and JEE Main scores for BTech admissions. 70 percent of BTech seats will be filled based on AEEE scores and 30% seats will be filled based on JEE Main.

Who can apply: Candidates who have passed class 12 with PCM can apply for Amrita BTech admission via AEEE exam.

AEEE Exam Pattern 2026 (Changed)

Candidates can check the AEEE 2026 exam pattern below:

The questions are based on the syllabus in Class 11th & Class 12th.
All the questions are of a Multiple-Choice type and have four options as possible answers.
Candidates can choose the most appropriate answer for each question in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
Answers marked can be changed later, before the final submission of all the answers.
3 (Three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 (negative one) for each wrong answer.

Format of the AEEE mock test: The AEEE mock tests have 50 questions. There are three sections - Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Maths has 25 questions, of which 5 are optional. Below is the selection process for Amrita BTech admission 2026 through the Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam:

In case of any discrepancy, candidates must get it resolved by opening a ticket in the online query management system for a faster resolution. The Admit card is an important document and must be kept safe till the completion of the admission procedure.

AEEE 2026 CBT Guidelines

Candidates can check various exam day guidelines for the AEEE exam below:

The examination rooms/halls for CBT are opened one hour before the commencement of the test on the respective dates.
The candidates should take their seats in the examination hall 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
If the candidates do not report on time, they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the examination hall.
A seat indicating the roll number is allocated to each candidate. Candidates should find out and occupy only their allotted seats. Any candidate found to have changed room or seat on their own other than allotted, their candidature shall be cancelled, and no plea will be accepted for it.
The candidate must show, on demand, the AEEE 2026 admit card for admission in the examination room/hall.
The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the AEEE 2026 admit card. During the examination time, the invigilator checks the admit card to confirm the identity of each candidate.

AEEE Slot Booking 2026

Candidates registered for AEEE have to select the “date and time slot” of their choice, subject to availability, by visiting the University website before the last date. This process is called “SLOT BOOKING.” Test Centre, Number of days and Number of operating slots in a day are finalised based on the number of candidates for a particular city. The allotment of dates/slots is on a first-come come first first-served basis.

If a candidate does not exercise their option, they are assigned a date/ slot based on their availability. To book an Exam Date and Slot, registered candidates need to click the AEEE 2026 slot booking link provided on the University webpage as per the schedule.

How to book slots:

To book AEEE 2026 exam slots, candidates have to visit the official website - aeee.amrita.edu.
Next, candidates have to login with the AEEE registered number, and the OTP sent.
Once logged in, candidates can start the slot booking process.
Candidates can select the test date and test slots based on availability.
Candidates have to choose the AEEE 2026 exam date by clicking on the available date and clicking the continue button.
Then, candidates have to select a test slot based on its availability status. Click the “Confirm Slot” button to confirm the booking.

After a few days, candidates can doenload the AEEE 2026 admit card that will have the address of the examination centre. Note that a slot once booked cannot be changed.

AEEE 2026 Counselling: CSAP

DeskCalendar Counselling: May ' 26

Amrita University conducts a common seat allocation process (CSAP). Candidates with AEEE 2026 rank or JEE Mains 2026 percentile score or rank have to register for CSAP 2026. Note that class 12 marks are not considered for the allotment, and it is required only after the confirmation of admission. All candidates have to register for CSAB and enter their choice of Amrita campus (Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil and Haridwar) and branch for admission. The candidates are allotted seat based on their entrance exam rank and seat availability.

 AEEE seat allotment is fully online, and there is no need for the candidates to visit the campus to attend the counselling. All the candidates with AEEE 2026 rank or JEE Mains 2026 Percentile Score /Rank shall be intimated by Email, SMS, and WhatsApp about the AEEE 2026 counselling.

AEEE 2026 Counselling Fee

After the release of AEEE result 2026, candidates have to register for AEEE 2026 counselling. To register for AEEE counselling, candidates have to pay INR 5000.

Some important instructions:

The registration fee is non-refundable.
The registration fee is refundable only if the candidate fails to get any Academic Preference even in the last round of CSAP.
Registration fees will not be refunded if a candidate withdraws from CSAP.
