DASA UG Application Form 2026: Registrations for DASA 2026 will start tentatively in the last week of July 2026. DASA Application form 2026 will be available online at the official website dasanit.org.

All foreign students studying in any country, including India, or Indian students studying abroad, have to apply for DASA Counselling 2026 for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture programs offered at NITs, IIITs, SPAs and CFTIs.

The application form of DASA UG 2026 will remain open for one month with last date around August 30, 2026. The complete schedule of DASA 2026 will be provided on this page once released. Q:   Which documents are to be uploaded at the time of filling out the DASA UG application form?
A: 

The documents required while filling out the DASA UG application form are a passport, proof of date of birth, a mark sheet for Class 10, Class 11 and Class 12; Proof of 2 years of education (Class 11 and Class 12 or equivalent), CIWG quota documents, and a certificate from the company/organization as proof that the parent is working in the Gulf country.

Q:   Is it necessary to have an email ID for registration at DASA UG?
A: 

Yes, it is necessary to have a valid email ID for registration. The DASA UG  application process will commence on official website. Candidates should note dates of DASA UG in order to keep track of all major events, including last date of application. Once released, it will be updated here as well.

Eligibility to Apply for DASA UG 2026

Check eligibility criteria of DASA UG here as informed by the admission authority. Candidates must make sure they fulfill all the conditions of eligibility, failing which their admission can be cancelled at any stage.

Criteria Description
Age Applicants born on or after October 01, 2001, are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board / University Certificate.
Academic Qualifications

Applicant should have a valid JEE Main 2026 rank.

And

Applicant must have passed the qualifying examination class 12 or equivalent from any system of education as recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (www.aiu.ac.in) with specified subjects. Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2025-26 and expecting their final results by September 30, 2026, may also apply. 

And

Applicant should have completed Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) in 12th with 75% marks (CGPA of 7.5 out of 10) in aggregate, as applicable in the respective boards.

Residential Requirement

All foreign nationals studying in any country, including India, or Indian nationals studying abroad who fulfil the prescribed admission criteria shall be eligible. Prescribed admission criteria for Indian Nationals shall be at least two years of education, inclusive of 11th & 12th or equivalent (not beyond), in a foreign country during the last 8 years and must pass the qualifying examination from abroad.

Q:   How much of the fee will be refunded if a candidate wants to withdraw his or her DASA or CWIG application before the application deadline?
A: 

Registration fee in DASA UG is non refundable. Once candidates submit their application form they cannot withdraw the form. Moreover there is no provision to refund application fee under any circumstances.

How to pay the fees?

The payment can be made via SWIFT, E-Payment, NEFT, or RTGS Transfer. The entire payable amount must be paid in a single transaction, meaning only one transaction ID should be provided for the total amount due. For E-payment, applicants will need to access the online portal, which will be linked with the ICICI Bank Payment Gateway for receiving online payment of fees through their credit/debit card. Upon successful completion of the transaction, a Transaction ID will be automatically generated and will appear in the application form.

Q:   When will the online DASA UG registration start?
A: 

The DASA UG 2026 registration dates has not been announced yet. DASA UG application form 2026 is expected to be released in July online on the website - dasanit.org. It is also recommended that before filling the DASA UG application form, candidates must go through the information brochure and eligbility criteria carefully. Candidates should fill the correct details in the application form; otherwise, it will be rejected. 

Q:   How many seats are reserved for the Children of Indian Workers in Gulf (CIWG) in DASA UG?
A: 

15% of seats are under the supernumerary quota of DASA, out of which 5% supernumerary seats are reserved for children of Indian workers in the Gulf (CIWG). Candidates who will get admission to NITs and IIEST Shibpur under the CIWG category shall pay the tuition fee of INR 1,25,000 per annum, either in INR or equivalent USD.

Documents to Upload in DASA Application Form 2026

Candidates have to upload the following scanned documents in the DASA UG 2026 application form.

Important instructions for scanning the comments to upload in DASA UG Application Form 2026

  • The photograph will appear on the admission order; hence, use a photo with sufficient clarity and contrast.
  • All the scanned documents should also be readable.
  • Please ensure that the name of the candidate is the same as the passport, qualifying exam and JEE Main 2026 result.
  • Candidates must ensure that scanned copies of required documents are ready in:
    • JPG /JPEG format
    • The size of each file should be less than 500 kB
    • The documents can be scanned in Colour/B&W/Gray Scale
  • Applicants may use any image editing software like Microsoft Office Picture Manager or Microsoft Paint to resize the photographs and documents.

Q:   Who can take admission to NITs and IIITs via the DASA Scheme?
A: 

Indian Nationals studying abroad (NRIs) and Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin or Overseas Citizen of India who have completed the qualifying examination in any country (including India) are eligible for admission in NITs and IIITs through the DASA Scheme. In the case of Indian Nationals, they must have completed the 11th and 12th standard or equivalent from outside India.

Q:   In which mode will the DASA UG application form be released?
A: 

The DASA UG application form is made available on official website of DASA. Candidates have to fill and complete application online and submit the form as per the deadline.

How to fill DASA UG 2026 Application Form?

Candidates interested in applying for DASA 2026 can check the instructions here to understand the application process. It is to be noted that all the information in the form must be correct as there will be possibility to make corrections at a later stage. Read below on how to fill DASA Application Form 2026.

DASA UG Registration 2025

  • To register, the candidate needs to enter JEE 2026 Main application number and Date of Birth (A web link will be mailed to complete the registration process on the email ID registered with JEE Main). The application number of JEE Mains will be your username.
  • Once correct details are entered, click Create my account.
  • An email will be sent to your email address with a link to complete the registration. Check your email and click the web link.
  • Enter Applicant ID as mentioned in email and create a password of your choice
  • Account will be created upon creating the password.

Applicants are advised to note the Applicant ID and password for future logins (for completing the application form and checking the status of the application, etc.) and to keep it confidential.

Fill Details in DASA 2025 Application Form and Upload the Documents

After registration, candidates have to login again using application ID and password and fill the application form. They need to provded personal and education details in the form. Applicants are also required to upload the following documents

  • Latest passport size photograph in JPG format (size ~ 3.5cm x 3.5cm, file size < 100kB)
  • Scanned signature of applicant in JPG format (file size < 100 kB).

Candidates also need to fill choices of colleges and course while filling the application form. Candidates must be careful while filling the choices as the allotment of seats will be done basis the choices filled by them

Pay DASA Registration Fee

Candidates have to pay the registration fee and first semester tuition fee payable to DASA 2026 before submission of online applications. The fee will be applicable as per the category of the candidates.

Preview the DASA Application Form

  • Applicants are advised to click the “Preview Application Form” button both before Fee payment as well as before the final submission of choices respectively to preview the form and ensure that all the required details have been provided correctly.
  • In case, there are some corrections to be made, applicants can click the “Edit” button and edit the application or choices in the respective sections. 
  • After ensuring that all the data provided are correct and in the required format the applicant should click the “Submit Application Form” button.

Print the DASA Form

The submitted online application should be saved and downloaded by clicking “Download Application Form”. Applicants should keep a copy of the submitted online application form for their records and print if required. However, the applicants are not required to send the hard copy of the application form and documents to the DASA office.

DASA UG 2025 Choice Filling

Upon completing the DASA 2025 registration process, the candidates can fill in the choices of courses and institutes in order of their preference. Candidates must submit as many choices as possible and submit the filled choices before the deadline is over. The choice filling and submission is an online process only and a one-time process. Candidates MUST “submit” their saved choices. Candidates who do NOT submit their saved choices in the time window given, their last saved choices will be submitted automatically when the time window for filling the choices ends.

Candidates can check their DASA seat allotment status by login to the official website. Candidates who will be allotted seats have will have the option to acccept/freeze and float the seats.

If any candidate fail to lock their choices before the last date of choice filling, it gets locked automatically. In this case, the last available order of choices will be considered for seat allotment.

No, candidates can not apply for BTech admission through DASA UG if they've not appeared in JEE Mains exam. It is mandatory to apply for JEE Mains and qualify the exam before appearing for DASA admissions.

Yes, you can apply for BTech admission under DASA UG scheme. However, you have to appear in JEE Mains exam and qualif the same for admission under DASA 2026.
