What is GATE Exam?
The GATE is also called as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, which is a national-level entrance test held once a year to offer to offer admission to MTech and research programmes in IITs, IIITs, NITs, IISc, and other GFTIs. Every year, the exam is conducted by IISc, followed by IITs on a rotational basis.

As per the GATE exam guidelines issued by IIT Guwahati, candidates must reach the exam centre at least 90 minutes before the test time.
