GATE 2024: Haldwani Candidates Voice Safety Concerns Amid Violence and Curfew, Exam on Feb 10, 11

GATE 2024: As per the schedule, the Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore will conduct the GATE 2024 exam branch-wise on February 10 and 11 in a computer-based test. Where many candidates are preparing for GATE, those who have opted are Haldwani as the exam centre are worried because of the ongoing violence and curfew. Many candidates from Haldwani have raised their concerns on X (formerly Twitter) regarding how they will appear for GATE 2024 in such a situation.
The Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore, is set to conduct the GATE 2024 branch-wise examination on February 10 and 11 in computer-based format. As numerous aspirants gear up for the GATE exam, there is growing concern among those who selected Haldwani as their examination centre, owing to the current unrest and imposition of curfew in the area.
As per the GATE 2024 centre list released, in Uttarakhand, the exam is scheduled to be held at these three centres: Dehradun, Haldwani, and Roorkee. However, due to the ongoing violence and curfew in Haldwani, candidates might face issues reaching the exam centre.
GATE official on X has replied to one of the candidates stating, "Dear GATE 2024 Candidates of Haldwani, we are aware of the situation at Haldwani. We are closely working with the authorities and will communicate the next steps to the candidates. Please stay tuned. Thank you."

IISc Bangalore is conducting the GATE 2024 exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024 for all 30 papers. The GATE 2024 hall ticket is available for download at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
