KEAM 2024 might have some big changes this year. It has been confirmed that KEAM will be held as a computer-based test from this academic session onwards by the Minister for Higher Education & Social Justice R. Bindu. Candidates can expect official KEAM notification and more details about the 2024 session anytime soon in January or February.
Recently the website of CEE, cee.kerala.gov.in, has been revamped and the website is now displayed in an all-new format. Going by this, it can be also expected that CEE will update the details of the admission process for the upcoming session soon.
This year, the KEAM exam is likely to be held in May 2024, with the official KEAM notification expected to be released anytime now. The application form for the exam is expected to be available in March 2024. In the previous year, the exam had over 1.23 lakh candidates, indicating a consistent rise in interest among students in pursuing higher education in engineering, architecture, and medicine through the KEAM pathway.
KEAM 2024 registration is held online only. The eligible candidates have to apply for the exam in the online mode by filling out the online application form. The offline mode of application for KEAM is not available.
The Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical (KEAM) entrance exam has traditionally been conducted in an offline mode, with candidates recording their answers to multiple-choice questions on an Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet. However, the exam is expected to transition to a computer-based format in 2024, which will offer several benefits, including greater speed and efficiency in the post-examination process.
It is expected that the computer-based exam will be conducted in phases, as it will not be possible to arrange over 1.2 lakh computer terminals at the same time. Candidates can expect an official mock test link on the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations two weeks before the actual exam date. With the computer-based format, evaluation of the exam becomes faster, with the scores being made available to the candidates in the shortest possible time.
