National Law University Delhi is expected to release AILET notification and application form in second week of July 2026. Even though NLU Delhi is a National Law University but it is not a part of the Consortium of NLUs. All the NLUs in India have been granted the status by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Thus, there is no major difference in the courses offered at NLU Delhi as compared to the other National Law Universities. AILET 2027 Answer Key

NLU Delhi will release answer key for AILET 2027 after exam gets over. They can get AILET answer key 2027 link only at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. They do not have to use their login details to download AILET 2027 answer key, as it will be available in PDF format. It must be noted that initially provisional answer key is released soon after AILET exam gets over. NLU Delhi also provides option to raise objections in provisional AILET answer key 2027

Later, final answer key for AILET is released with revised answers based on objections submitted by candidates. They can calculate their expected scores with help of answer key. They need to know marking scheme for that 

  • They will be awarded one mark for each correct answer

  • There will be negative marking

  • One fourth marks for each incorrect answer will be deducted

  • Candidates will not be evaluated for questions not answered

  • Those who have marked two answers to a question will get a penalty of one fourth mark for such a question

No, AILET Entrance Exam cutoff is released separately for the various categories. For instance, the cut-off is available for categories like Open, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PH categories. However, candidates belonging to reserved category will be considered for admission under both open and the reserved category they belong to. To be considered for admission under reserved category, the candidate must furnish the required category certificates. Q:   What all details are included in AILET Counseling Invite List?
A: 

The invite list for AILET has the following details-

  • The invite list is released category-wise.
  • It included the application number, roll number, total marks, and All India Ranks of candidates shortlisted for counselling.
  • It also included the seat matrix and reservation for AILET admission process.
  • The counselling schedule.
  • The step-wise counselling process.
Q:   How many times AILET exam is held?
A: 

AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) is conducted once a year. It is held in December for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs.

Q:   Is the AILET Counselling Registration Fee refundable?
A: 

The AILET counselling fee of INR 30,000 (INR for reserved category candidates) will be refunded only to candidates who have successfully registered for the counselling and paid the fee but who could not find a place in the merit list. The refund will be initiated by NLU Delhi to the source on completion of the admission process, whichever is earlier.

AILET merit list has the name of the candidate, registration number, and rank. It also gives instructions for admission and seat reservation. If candidates do not pay the fee within the time, their candidature will be cancelled.

Q:   What is the AILET admission and counselling process?
A: 

NLU Delhi conducts the AILET exam every year for admission to the BA LLB & LLM programs. Candidates who appear in the exam will then be called for admission as per the rank and scores achieved in the exam. The candidates whose names appear in the merit list are then required to appear for document verification and fee payment. 

Q:   Can I change the exam centre once the application process gets over for AILET exam?
A: 

No. One cant change the AILET Exam centre once the application form is submitted online. Candidates have to choose options of exam centre while applying for the exam. The exam centre option is filled during the final registration for AILET. Candidates can declare maximum 3 options for exam centre. AILET will let candidates know about name and address of exam centre through the admit card. The admit card for AILET has to be carried to the exam centre else candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Q:   Is the admit card available right after AILET application form is submitted?
A: 

No, the admit card of AILET is issued at least 10 days before the examination after NLUD assess the total applicants and availability of seats at the testing locations. The admit card will be made available for download on the official website of the institute; i.e. nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The National Law University, Delhi will tentatively release the admit card for AILET 2025 in the fourth week of November 2024. The admit cards are issued to candidates who have successfully completed the AILET 2025 application process.    

Q:   Can I appear for AILET if I forget to carry my photo ID?
A: 

No, candidates were not allowed to appear for the examination without a valid photo ID. Candidates were advised to keep the following three things ready with them, a day before the examination; a valid photo ID proof, AILET admit card, and a recent passport-sized photograph. These were the mandatory documents to be produced during entry to the AILET exam centre. The valid photo identity card which would be allowed at the AILET 2027 exam centre include Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter Id. The admit card should also have the passport and postcard-sized photographs pasted on it.
