COVID-19 pandemic: SSC CPO & JHT 2020 exam notifications delayed

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has delayed the release of SSC CPO and Junior Hindi Translator notifications due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. The notifications for both the exams were scheduled to be released on April 17. The last date to apply for the exam was May 16, 2020. There is no update on the official regarding the delay in the release of exam notifications. It is expected that the notifications will be released after May 3.

According to the SSC annual calendar, the paper 1 exam of SSC CPO is scheduled to be conducted from September 28 to October 1. The Paper 1 exam of SSC JHT is scheduled to be conducted on October 10.

The application forms for both the exams will be released along with the notification. Interested candidates need to fill the SSC JHT application form and SSC CPO application form online. The application fee is Rs 100 and can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Credit, Debit cards or in cash. However, Women, SC, ST and ESM candidates are exempted from paying the fee.

The age limit for SSC CPO is 20 to 25 years. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. For the post of SSC JHT, candidates should not be more than 30 years and must have completed a Master’s degree.

SSC CPO selection process comprises Paper 1, Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). The examination of SSC JHT comprises two papers, I and II.
