SSC might delay CPO & JHT 2020 exam notifications in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak. Read below for complete details. 

SSC CPO

In the wake of the prevailing conditions in the country, it is imperative for the State Selection Commission (SSC) to delay the notifications for Sub Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs and Junior Hindi Translator. Both the notifications for 2020 session are scheduled to be released on April 17. The application form will be released along with the notification. The application process is scheduled to close on May 16, 2020. It is likely that SSC might make a change in the schedule of these examinations.

The paper 1 exam of SSC CPO is scheduled to be conducted from September 28 to October 1. The Paper 1 exam of SSC JHT is scheduled to be conducted on October 10.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for SSC CPO and JHT is given below:

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria

  • The age limit for SSC CPO is 20 to 25 years.
  • Candidates must hold a Bachelorโ€™s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria

  • For this post, candidates should not be more than 30 years.
  • Candidates must have completed a Masterโ€™s degree.

How to apply for the exams?

Interested candidates are required to submit the application form online only at the official website of the commission. The application fee is Rs 100 and can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Credit, Debit cards or in cash. However, Women, SC, ST and ESM candidates are exempted from paying the fee. The steps to fill the application form are given below:

  • Visit the official website
  • Register for the exam by filling the basic details
  • On confirmation of details, the registration number and password will be generated
  • Login with the credentials to fill the application form
  • Candidates need to give their preferences of exam centres, educational qualification and other details
  • Preview the application form to verify the details
  • After agreeing to the terms and conditions, submit the application form
  • Proceed to pay the application fees

SSC CPO selection process comprises Paper 1, Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). The examination of SSC JHT comprises two papers, I and II.
