What is the BITSAT 2026 counselling process?

The counselling process of BITSAT is held online at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. BITSAT counselling process includes following steps:
- Submit class 12th or qualifying exam marks
- Fill out preferred choice of courses and campuses.
- Pay the counselling fee
- Check seat allotments in form of iterations.
How to Register for BITSAT Counselling 2026?
- Students have to go to admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in and register for BITSAT 2026 counselling. Before registration, they have to check counselling eligibility.
- After registration, students have to log in and fill required details. Submitted information has to be correct. Once details are submitted, it cannot be corrected.
- Next, students have to submit their 12th exam details. A print out of form has to be taken after 12th qualifying exam information is submitted.
- Finally, they will have to select campuses and courses in which they want to take admission. Selection has to be done in order of preference. This is important since preferences will be considered during admission.

BITSAT 2026 FD Preference Form Edit Window
Candidates are allowed to edit the BITSAT FD preference forms. The authorities activated the edit window between June 9 and 10. Candidates can update their class 12th marks and change their preferences for the counselling and admission process. Students must check their changes before making the final submission. Candidates must add their choices in the order of priority.

BITSAT 2026 Seat Allotment
BITSAT 2026 seat allotment result will be released in form of iterations. Candidates can expect seven rounds of BITSAT 2026 iterations. To check seat allotment of BITSAT 2026, candidates will have to follow steps given below.
- Go to admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in
- Click on iteration link
- Candidates will have to log in with BITSAT 2026 application number and password.
- Seat allotment status will be shown on screen.
Candidates who are shortlisted for admission will have to report to their BITS campus. They will have to confirm their admission by verifying their documents and paying admission fee. If admission confirmation process is not completed before final date, then student will lose their allotment. Candidates also have choice to remain on BITSAT wait list if they have not been allotted to first or second preference. They will be eligible for further rounds of allotment if seats are vacant.
BITSAT 2026 Direct Admission to Board Toppers
Central and State Board exam toppers are eligible for direct admissions into the BITS campuses. The toppers will not require BITSAT score for admission. The registraiton process for the BITSAT direct admission scheme is open and will conclude on June 30. Eligible candidates will have to register for the BITS 2026 direct admission process online. However, the board toppers will also have to meet the basic eligibility criteria. The authoriities will announce the result for the direct admission. The selected ones will have to confirm their admission.
BITSAT 2026 Scholarships
Starting from the 2026-27 academic session, candidates who rank within the top 500 in BITSAT 2026 will be offered tuition-blind admissions. Under this initiative, students who secure a rank upto 500 in the BITSAT exam and come from families with an annual income of up to Rs 20 lakh will be granted a complete waiver of tuition fees for the entire four-year programme.
To keep receiving the benefit, students will need to maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 at their respective campus during the course of their studies.
According to the institute’s recent data, about Rs 132 crore was distributed last year through merit-based and merit-cum-need financial assistance programmes. BITSAT Counselling Fee 2026
The BITSAT 2026 counselling fee is INR 1000. To participate in the admission process, the candidates will have to pay the BITSAT 2026 counselling fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. The authorities will also accept offline payment through cash at all ICICI bank branches, along with a specially generated pay-in-slip. If the candidates are not able to pay the counselling fee before the final date, then they will not be allowed to participate in the counselling and admission process.
