CSIR NET Exam Centre 2026:  The authority will release the CSIR NET June 2026 exam centre list on the official portal at csirnet.nta.nic.in. While filling out the CSIR NET application form, candidates need to select exam centre choices as preferences. These examination centres are provided with necessary facilities for the smooth conduction of an exam with secure environment. The CSIR NET exam for the June session will be conducted in the computer-based test (CBT) mode in more than 200 exam centre cities across the country.

The NTA conducts the CSIR NET exam in two session annually to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor in the universities and colleges of India.

CSIR NET Exam Centre 2026: Important Points

The CSIR NET June session exam will be conducted in more than 200 centres across the India. It will be mentioned in the information brochure that will be released on the official website in the form of notification. As per the choices filled by the candidate in the application form, the examination centre is allotted by the authority. Candidates need to follow the given CSIR NET exam day guidelines at the exam centres:

  • Candidates should reach the CSIR NET exam centre at the time indicated against reporting time in their CSIR NET admit card.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter after the gate closing time.
  • No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination.
  • Upon completion of the examination, candidates are advised to wait for instructions from Invigilator. The candidates will be allowed to move out only one at a time.
  • Candidates are advised to verify the location of the exam centre, a day in advance so that they do not face any problems on the day of the exam.
  • If religion/customs require you to wear specific attire, then please visit the exam centre a little early for thorough checking and frisking.
  • No candidate would be allowed to enter the centre without admit card, self-declaration undertaking, valid ID proof, and proper frisking.
  • Before reaching the centre, candidates must enter the required details in the Self Declaration (Undertaking) in legible handwriting, paste their photograph and put a thumb impression at the appropriate place on the admit card.

The NTA will release the CSIR NET June session Advance City Intimation Slip on its official website around ten days prior to the exam date. Candidates will be able to download it through their login credentials. Along with the city slip, the authority also releases the CSIR NET exam schedule and shift timings for the June session.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - National Eligibility Test exam is conducted twice in a year, mainly in the months of June and December. It will be held for five subjects that is Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Earth Sciences.
