The Tentative Answer Key(s) along with Question Paper(s) cum Response Sheet(s) are now available on the official portal. The candidates may log in by using their registration number and password to download the answer key. The representations/ challenges against the SSC JE tentative Answer Keys, if any, was submitted online from December 19 (6:00 PM) to December 22 (6:00 PM) on payment of INR 50 per question/answer were challenged.

The SSC released the JE application form 2025 for paper 1 on June 30. The last date to apply was July 21.

The Staff Selection Commission has issued an official notice announcing a significant update to the SSC registration process. According to the notification, the One Time Registration (OTR) system will be Aadhaar-enabled starting from the 2025 exam cycle, effective June 2, 2025. This means that all candidates registering for upcoming SSC exams including JE will be required to link their Aadhaar information as part of the SSC OTR process. Additionally, referring to the SSC Annual Examination Calendar released on May 9, the Commission has informed candidates that the option to edit existing SSC OTR details will only be available until May 31. After this date, any modifications to the current registration profiles will not be permitted. Further, they will need to re-register under the new Aadhaar-enabled system.

What is SSC JE?

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Junior Engineer (JE) exam is a highly competitive and sought-after exam for engineering graduates looking for government job opportunities. The SSC JE exam is conducted annually by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit Junior Engineers for Group-B (non-gazetted) posts in level-6 (INR 35,400-1,12,400) of the pay matrix of the seventh Central Pay Commission under various departments of the Government of India. SSC JE Selection Process 2025

The SSC JE exam is the only exam conducted by the Commission to recruit engineers for specialised jobs. The selection process consists of the following:

Candidates need to visit the official website and fill out the SSC JE application form online. To apply, the aspirants first need to register on the official website. Thereafter, candidates need to log into their accounts and fill up the form online.

Download Admit Card

Hall tickets will be available for download on the regional websites of the commission. Call Letter is an important document containing information related to the exam and the candidate. Candidates are advised to preserve the admit cards until the recruitment process is over.

Appear for SSC JE exam

Students need to appear for the exam as per the prescribed schedule. Candidates first need to appear for SSC JE Paper 1. Thereafter, all qualifying candidates need to appear for SSC JE Paper 2.
