The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Main 2027 syllabus PDF, with details of the exam, tentatively in October - November 2026. Since NTA does not change the JEE Main syllabus every year, candidates preparing for the exam can use the previous year's syllabus. There will be three papers in JEE Main 2027.

JEE Mains Syllabus 2027

JEE Main 2027 Syllabus: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Main 2027 syllabus PDF, with details of the exam, tentatively in October - November 2026. Since NTA does not change the JEE Main syllabus every year, candidates preparing for the exam can use the previous year's syllabus. There will be three papers in JEE Main 2027, and each paper will have three differenct syllabus.

Q:   In how much time can I complete the entire JEE Main syllabus?
A: 

Time required to cover JEE Main syllabus changes from one student to another student. In general, to complete the entire JEE Main syllabus, students would require around 1 year. The ideal time to start preparing for JEE Main is class 11 as the syllabus for JEE and class 11-12 is similar. Students who are studying in class 11 can point out the topics that are common in both and pay special emphasis to those topics.

Q:   Can I complete JEE Main syllabus in 6 months?
A: 

JEE Mains syllabus can be completed in 6 months considering that almost every topic of JEE syllabus is similar to class 11 and 12 syllabus. However, completing the syllabus does not mean that candidates will get a good score. JEE Main exam tests your conceptual and analytical understanding of topics. To get a good score, you need to have good understanding of core concepts and also use to of applying them in solving numerical questions.

Q:   Is JEE Main syllabus same as syllabus of JEE Advanced?
A: 

Not both are not same. But some topics are similar in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Students who qualify the JEE Main exam and are among the top 250000 students are eligible to take the JEE Advanced.  Due to this reason majority of syllabi are the same, but a few extra topics are added in JEE Advanced.

Q:   Is JEE Main syllabus same for B.Tech, B.Arch and Plan?
A: 
The syllabus for JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech), Paper 2A B.Arch and Paper 2B B. Plan is different. JEE Main paper 1 exam is conducted for admission to BE/B.Tech, Paper 2A for B.Arch and Paper 2B is conducted for B. Plan courses. JEE Main paper 1 syllabus consists of Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. Paper 2A syllabus has Mathematics, General Aptitude and Drawing while Paper 2B syllabus has Mathematics, General Aptitude and Planning. Candidates must note that Mathematics syllabus is common/same in all three papers.

JEE Main Paper 2A consists of Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test. The Mathematics syllabus is the same as JEE Main Paper 1. Check chapters asked in each section of Paper 2a below:

Yes, aspirants can get admission in BTech programme of JECRC University Alwar Campus without JEE Main scores. Candidates are selected based on their Class 12 scores. The university prefers aspirants with JEE Main score, but it is not mandatory.

Galgotias University does not currently publish a fixed JEE Main percentile/rank cutoff for B.Tech admission. For B.Tech CSE, the official eligibility is minimum 60% in the specified Class 12 subjects, while students with JEE Main/JEE Advanced/CUET/SAT scores are given preference in the merit list.

Yes, but only in private colleges through management quota, based on Class 12 marks, without needing WBJEE. Colleges like IEM, Heritage, Techno India, and Adamas offer this option.

Yes, you can get admission to VNIT Nagpur with 95.55 percentile in JEE Main under the EWS category (Maharashtra home state) but your course options might be limited or into less competitive or core branches.

No, JEE Main ranks are not accepted for core engineering seat allotments at this campus. Admission to all BTech tracks is handled exclusively through the university's own entrance test ranks. The rank needed for admission to the BTech course would depend on the course, round and branch you are applying for. For the General HS category, the Round 2 cutoff was 770798 for the BTech CSE course. So, this category students need a rank of at least 770798 to be considered eligible for admission.
