SBI Clerk 2025 Recruitment: The State Bank of India (SBI) released the notification for SBI Clerk recruitment notice on August 5 to fill up a total of 6589 Vacancies. SBI Clerk apply online link was activated on August 6, 2025. The last date to fill SBI Clerk application form is August 26, 2025. 

Candidates for SBI Clerk exam are selected based on prelims and mains exams. However, the prelims exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for the Language Proficiency Test. Read below for more details on SBI Clerk recruitment.

The selection process of SBI Clerk comprises prelims exam, Mains exam and language proficiency test. The final selection of candidates is done based on marks obtained in the Mains exam. Candidates need to qualify the language proficiency test. The prelims exam of SBI Clerk comprises three sections- English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for final selection. The mains exam comprises English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The mains exam is conducted for 200 marks. SBI Clerk application form is made available online. The application fee is INR 750 for the General and OBC categories. However, SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS candidates are exempted from paying the application fees. Candidates can edit the SBI Clerk application form within the registration deadline. The application process comprised several stages such as registration, uploading of scanned images of photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form, uploading of handwritten declaration and left thumb impression, previewing of application form, and fee payment.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk exam pattern is such that it is divided into prelims and mains exams. The prelims exam consists of three sections-English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes with sectional timings. The mains exam carries four sections: General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The duration of the test as per SBI Clerk exam pattern is 2 Hours 40 minutes. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for the language proficiency test. SBI Clerk salary is INR 19,900 (INR 17,900 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates). SBI Clerk Selection Process

The selection process consists of online tests (preliminary and mains exam) and tests of specified opted local language. On the basis of the preliminary exam, 10 times the number of vacancies are selected for the mains exam. According to SBI Clerk selection process, Candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, five per cent relaxation is available thereon). The merit list is drawn state-wise and category-wise.

Candidates qualified in the mains exam are placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective states and categories. Those who qualify the mains exam are called for local language tests. Subject to qualifying specified opted local language and based on the marks of the mains exam, candidates will be selected for appointment. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam are not added for the selection.
