MAH MBA CET 2026 syllabus has been prescribed by the State CET Cell. The unique aspect of MAH CET MBA syllabus is that, Logical Reasoning has the maximum weightage. Logical and Abstract Reasoning together make up for half of the MBA CET weightage. Thus, the syllabus of these two topics is central to MAH CET preparation 2026.

MAH MBA CET 2026 exam will be held on April 6, 7, 8 and May 9, 2026. Most of the candidates are already in MBA CET mock test practice phase. Here we provide a recap of MAH CET syllabus and section wise break up for candidates to practice and revise chapters according to importance.

Topics included in this section are: Linear and Circular Arrangement, Symbol-based Comparison, Coding/Decoding, Sequential Output, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Venn Diagram, Series Completion, Syllogisms, Selection Criteria, Conditional Coding.
Since maximum questions in this section are from Logical Reasoning section, you must plan your preparation with major focus on it. Practicing sample questions of varied difficulty level is the way to crack this section of MAH MBA CET 2026.

Q:   Which section of MAH MBA CET syllabus has maximum weightage?

The Logical Reasoning section of MBA CET has the maximum weightage. This section carries 75 marks and Abstract Reasoning section carries 25 marks. So, together they carry 100 questions, i.e. 1/2 of the total number of questions. Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension sections carry 50 marks each.

Thus, candidates must prepare for this section well. Most of the times, the Logical Reasoning and Abstract Reasoning questions have been easy to moderate in terms of difficult level. However, candidates should not ignore it at any cost as a good overall score and overall percentile will be directly related to one’s performance in these two sections. If you score low in these two sections, you score will fall drastically.

Q:   How many months will it take to complete the MAH CET syllabus?
A: 

You can cover MAH CET syllabus in three to six months depending on your familiarity with topics. If you are from engineering or technical background, you will find it quicker to cover. However, if you are from a non-technical background you will need more time for Quantitative Aptitude.

For Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension candidates will have to start the preparation early as reading comprehension cannot be mastered overnight. They need to read novels, books, magazines, etc. regularly for months to develop reading speed and comprehension.

Q:   What is the syllabus of MAH MBA CET Quantitative Aptitude?
A: 

The syllabus of MAH MBA CET Quantitative Aptitude section includes Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Mensuration, Partnership (Accounts), Profit and Loss, Mean, mode, median, Ratio and Proportion, In-Equations, Quadratic and Linear equations, Surds and Indices, Time-Speed-Distance, Number System, Geometric Progression, Binomial theorem, Inequalities, Work and Time, Percentage, Logarithms, Square Root and Cube Root, Probability and Simple Interest and Compound Interest.

There will be 50 questions in the Quantitative Aptitude section of MAH CET. Every question will carry 1 mark for correct attempt and 0 for incorrect attempt. Five options will be given to choose the correct option from. Most of the questions will be asked from Arithmetic topics. This section also contains data interpretation. Normally, there are two sets of data interpretation questions based on graph, table or a pie chart. Out of 50 questions 8-10 questions are from data interpretation.

Topics included in this section of MBA CET are: Arithmetic, Algebra, Mensuration, Numbers, Trigonometry, Quantitative Reasoning, Data Sufficiency, Geometry, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Time-Speed-Distance, Simple Interest-Compound Interest, Probability and Data Interpretation – Graphs, Charts, Tables. Quantitative Aptitude topics are generic, but the nature of questions can be exam specific, so make sure to practice past years’ MAH CET  papers in adequate number.

MBA CET Syllabus for Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension

Topics included in this section of MBA CET are: Reading Comprehension, Spelling, Inappropriate usage, Antonyms & Synonyms, Fill in the Blanks, Para Jumbles, Vocabulary, Error Correction, Sentence Completion, Word Arrangement, Grammar, One word substitution, word meaning, similar sounding word, etc.

The RC passages of MAH CET are not too long and dense so it is easy to handle them. During preparation, focus on English Grammar and Vocabulary more as out of 50 nearly 30 questions can be based on these two.

Candidates must prepare these topic well to score high in MAH CET. There will be 50 questions in the VARC section of MAH CET. Every question will carry 1 mark for correct attempt and 0 for incorrect attempt. Five options will be given to choose the correct option from. The Reading Comprehension passage will be of medium difficult. They will be short and will have straightforward questions. There are a maximum of 2 to 3 passages having not more than 14-15 questions.

MAH MBA CET Syllabus 2026: Abstract Reasoning weightage

Abstract Reasoning weightage has the least weightage, but you can use this section to make up for loss in any of the above three sections. Meaning, if you manage to solve all the questions in this section, you can sail through even if your performance is not upto the mark in Quants or English.

Yes, MAH CET exam is held in about 12 cities outside Maharashtra. It is held in Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Jaipur, Ranchi, Gandhinagar, Delhi, Kolkata, Panaji, Bangalore, Delhi-NCR, Lucknow and Verna.

There is no minimum marks required to appear in MAH CET counselling. Candidate with more than 0 in MAH CET or other entrance exams can register for CAP. However, selection will be based on minimum cut offs for the participating colleges.
