AFCAT Admit Card 2026: The Indian Air Force (IAF) released AFCAT 1 admit card on January 22. The direct link to download the admit card is provided on this page. Candidates can get their admit cards by logging with the required credentials. AFCAT admit card comprises all the necessary details related to the exam. Candidates need to carry the printed copy of their admit cards along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre. AFCAT 1 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 31, 2026. Photo-Identity Proofs: For verification, candidates need to show any of the following photo-identity proofs:

Q:   What are the dos for AFCAT exam day?
A: 
Candidates need to follow the guidelines laid down by the examination authority on the day of AFCAT exam. The examination authority prescribes the exam day guidelines in terms of reporting time, shift-wise exam timings, items allowed inside the exam centre, items not allowed inside the exam centre, COVID-19 related guidelines, etc. There are dos that candidates need to follow on the day of AFCAT exam day, check below for more details: Candidates are required to report to the exam centre in batches from 07:30 am onwards (for first Shift) and 12:30 pm onwards (for second Shift) as per the time slot mentioned in the admit card Candidates are required to put only the thumb impression on the admit card in advance, before proceeding to the exam centre. Q:   What is the dress code for AFCAT exam?
A: 
AFCAT is one of the most sought-after defence exam in the country. The exam is conducted to select eligible candidates as gazetted officers in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. As it is the important defence exam in the country, therefore, the examination authority prescribes dress for candidates appearing in the exam. The guidelines related to dress code are given below: Candidates need to wear slippers/sandals with flat heels Closed footwear such as shoes is not allowed in the exam centre Clothes with large buttons are not permitted. Candidates wearing attire for religious purpose will be thoroughly frisked Candidates colour photograph will be taken during verification process. Candidates are required to put the thumb impression on the admit card in advance (at home) before proceeding to the examination centre and to sign on the same in front of the invigilators Candidates will be allowed to leave the exam hall after completion of AFCAT/EKT For rough work, A4 size sheet will be kept at each candidate's desk. AFCAT full form is Air Force Common Admission Test. The exam is conducted twice a year to pick up Class-1 Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. To retrieve the password while checking AFCAT result, candidates need to click the ' Forgot Password' tab. The system will ask candidates for some details to retrieve the password. After entering the details, the verification link will be sent to the candidate's registered email ID. After verification, the password will be reset. AFCAT result is valid till the merit list of that particular course is out. Once candidates get eliminated in any of the stages of recruitment. They need to take the test again and apply for a new course.

Q:   Does AFCAT has sectional cutoff?
A: 

Yes, there is sectional cut-off marks in the exam. Candidates need to secure the overall cut-off marks to get selected for AFSB Interview. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks are selected for the subsequent rounds of the selection process. Around 10,000 candidates are selected for the AFSB test based on their performance in the online test. The final selection is done based on the performance in the AFCAT and AFSB interview. 

Q:   What is the stipend offered to AFCAT officers during training?
A: 

The stipend offered to men and women cadets during the entire duration of training at any of the Air Force Training Institutions is INR 56,100 per month (Starting pay in Level 10). On successful completion of the training, the AFCAT salary of candidates in the pay matrix of Commissioned Officers will be fixed in the first cell of Level 10.

Q:   What is the significance of scoring above the cutoff in AFCAT?

Candidates securing AFCAT cut off are called for the next round of selection process. The final selection of candidates is done based on the online test and AFSB interview. The total marks allotted to the online test are 300.
