The first phase of the Summer Placement process for the PGP class of 2026 at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) took place today, featuring 73 roles offered by a distinguished lineup of recruiters. Top consulting and financial firms like Accenture Strategy, Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company, and Goldman Sachs dominated the placement drive, conducted in a hybrid format with both online and offline participation.
Diverse Recruiter Cohorts
The IIMA placements featured six key cohorts: “Management Consulting,” “Transformation & Operations Consulting,” “Advisory Consulting,” “Cards & Financial Advisory,” “Investment Banking & Markets,” and “PE/VC, Asset Management & Hedge Funds.”
IIMA PGP Placement: Top Recruiters and Key Players
Among the top recruiters, Accenture Strategy (India Market Unit & Global Network), Boston Consulting Group, and McKinsey & Company led the consulting domain. The cluster also saw participation from prominent consulting firms like Bain & Company, Alvarez & Marsal, Strategy&, Kearney, and EY-Parthenon, among others.
In the Investment Banking and Markets cohort, Goldman Sachs emerged as the largest recruiter, extending 11 offers, followed by HSBC for its India and Hong Kong offices. Other significant participants included Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citibank, DE Shaw, and JPMorgan Chase.
Strong PE/VC and Advisory Presence
WinZo Funds and WhiteOak Capital led the PE/VC segment with six and three offers, respectively, with participation from firms such as Ares Management Asia, Premji Invest, and Multiples Alternate Asset Management. The “Cards and Financial Advisory” cohort was spearheaded by American Express, Cranmore Partners, and Synergy Consulting.
New Recruiters and Global Reach
This year’s placements attracted new recruiters like Roland Berger, EY-Parthenon Singapore, Cranmore Partners, and Deutsche Bank India, along with increased international participation from firms across Hong Kong, Germany, the USA, Singapore, and the Middle East.
Upcoming Placement Clusters
Clusters 2 and 3 of the Summer Placement process are scheduled for November 15 and 18, respectively, with expectations of continued high-caliber engagement from both recruiters and students.
