UPTET 2021 notification is likely to release soon for the 2020 session. The notification will contain important details regarding the exam.
Uttar Pradesh government will soon release the UPTET notification 2021 for the 2020 session of the exam. Earlier, the UPTET 2020 notification was set to release on May 11, 2021, and the exam was scheduled to be held on July 25, 2021. However, the release of notification and the conduct of the exam was postponed by the state government due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The UPTET notification will inform the candidates about the exam dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern and UPTET syllabus. The concerned authorities are likely to soon announce the revised UPTET exam dates after analysing the current COVID-19 situation.
The UPTET exam is a state-level examination that is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for primary teachers (classes 1 to 5) and upper primary teachers (classes 6 to 8) in the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) conducts the UPTET exam in offline mode as a pen and paper-based test.
UPTET certificate now valid for life
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the extension of the UPTET eligibility certificate from 5 years to lifetime. The UP government will soon issue an official notice in this regard. Candidates who qualified the UPTET exam earlier and their certificate validity expired, will now be eligible to apply for the teaching job in the state, if they fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria.
