Rough sheets will be provided inside the VITEEE exam hall. Candidates will have to write their name, roll number and other details before using the rough pad. However, virtual and physical calculators are strictly not allowed during the exam. Candidates will have to do calculations manually.

Yes, Vellore Institute of Technology provide mock test for VITEEE before the exam date. The mock test gives an idea to student how the exam will be conducted along with question paper difficulty level and pattern. Candidates who have registered for the exam can take VITEEE mock test for free using dummy credentials.

No, VITEEE is conducted online at designated exam centres issued by the authorities. There is no chance of attempting VIT exam from home. Candidates have to register, book slot, download admit card and appear for the entrance test on the chosen date and time.

VITEEE syllabus has been released online. According to official syllabus, students will have to study topics from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Aptitude. 

VITEEE exam pattern is released online. During exam, students will have to answer multiple choice questions. Out of four options for each question, student will have to select the correct one. More than one option cannot be selected. Question paper will be prepared from official syllabus.

As per the latest pattern in VITEEE 2027, a total of 100 questions will be asked in exam. Section-wise distribution of questions can be checked below:

• Maths - 40 questions
• Physics- 25 questions
• Chemistry- 25 questions
• English- 5 sections and 
• Aptitude - 5 sections

VITEEE exam pattern is released online. The students will have to complete the exam in 2 hours and 30 minutes. No extra time will be given to complete the exam. Students have to solve the paper within the given time limit.

Yes, Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the exam online for MPCEA and BPCEA streams. The test duration of CBT has been reduced to 2 hours as per the revised VITEEE exam pattern 2027.

No, the unattempted questions in the VITEEE paper will not be marked negatively. These questions will not be considered when the papers are being scored. Students are encouraged to attempt all questions in the exam since wrong answers are not negatively marked.

Yes, VIT has introduced negative marking scheme in VITEEE 2026-27 admissions. Now, students will get -1 mark for every wrong attempt. However, for each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded.

To prepare for VITEEE, students should check NCERT and popularly used books. Through these books, they will be able to understand syllabus so that they can solve questions well. Along with books, mock tests and sample papers are also another important preparation material for exam.
