The Union Public Service Commission has released the Civil Service (IAS) notification 2026 on upsconline.nic.in. Earlier, it was postponed due to administrative reason. The Commission also activated the Civil Service (IAS) application form with notification. The last date for UPSC CSE (IAS) applications is February 24, 2026.The Commission notified 933 vacancies for the CSE 2026.

The UPSC IAS notification was delayed by a fortnight but the Commission will conduct UPSC CSE Prelims exam on May 24 as notified in UPSC exam calendar. The Commisison notified the number of vacancies, important dates, eligibility, syllabus, exam pattern and other important guidelines to fill the UPSC IAS applications. The Commission has started the face detection system at the examination centre, hence it will be very important that the candidates do the face image uploading diligently during the application process.

There will be two papers of two hours each in the IAS prelims exam. The candidates are suggested to read all the conditions mentioned in the government gazatte because in case of non-confirmity to any of the eligibility condition, the Commission can cancel the candidature of the candidate.
