IBPS Clerk is an entry-level post. This post offers a lot of learning and opportunities. They are asked to verify documents and proofs submitted by customers. They also maintain cash and Demand Drafts. Recruitment is done as per selection process.

 

The minimum basic pay of IBPS Clerk is INR 124050. The maximum is INR 64480. IBPS Clerk salary is decided by Central Government. Candidates are also get various allowances and benefits.

Selected candidates will get a salary amount only after a few deductions, called in-hand salary. The In-hand salary for the Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III cities is different. For example, if you are posted in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, your in-hand salary amount would be slightly more than others. The In-hand salary given will be inclusive of allowances as per the 7th pay commission.

The increment offered to IBPS Clerk exam is done based on performance. This is decided by the Pay Commission. Candidates are also given various benefits as part of their salary.

IBPS Clerk salary slip consists of all elements such as gross pay, allowances, and net pay. It will also carry the details related to the deductions in salary. Promotion is given based on the performance.

IBPS Clerk inhand salary ranges between INR 28,000 to 30,000 per month. The inhand salary is calculated after making all the deductions. It is the amount offered to candidates after the gross deductions and additions for expenditure. The amount vary from the place of posting. Candidates posted in metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata get comparatively more amount.

IBPS Clerk is given increment after three years or four years or one year. The saalary increases with increment. The selection process comprises prelims and mains exams. Final selection is done based on the marks obtained in the mains exam. 

There is no provision to recheck IBPS Clerk marks. The result declared by the examination authority is considered as final. IBPS Clerk result is announced online. Candidates can check their results by logging with the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. 

Candidates are offered promotions as per their performance. After becoming PO, there are seven scales in the officer cadre. The post-wise hierarchy is given below: Scale 1-Officer / Assistant Manager Scale 2-Manager Scale 3-Senior Manager Scale 4-Chief Manager Scale 5-Asst. General Manager Scale 6-Deputy General Manager Scale 7-General Manager.

The dearness allowance offered to IBPS Clerk is given below:

• DA is 4 percent of the IBPS Clerk Basic Pay.
• DA depends on the CPI and is revised quarterly, which is after every three months.
• The Dearness Allowance would be INR 5,209

There is no interview in IBPS Clerk exam. The selection process comprises two stages-prelims and Mains. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the Mains exam. The final selection of candidates is done based on the Mains exam. The marks obtained in the Mains exam are not counted for final selection. Allotment of candidates in the participating banks is done based on merit-cum-preference. The process of conducting interviews in Clerical level jobs was discontinued in 2015. The provisional allotment is subject to the candidate fulfilling the criteria for Participating Bank and identity verification to the satisfaction of the allotted bank. This does not constitute an offer of employment. Verification of documents with regard to eligibility criteria will be carried out by the participating bank. The participating bank will also ascertain Proficiency of local language (reading, writing and speaking) of the State/UT for the provisionally allotted candidates. The participating bank reserves the right to cancel the candidature on account of deficiency of the same. Decision of the participating banks here shall be final and binding upon the candidates. In case it is detected at any stage of the recruitment process that, the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria his/her candidature/chance in the process shall stand forfeited.

IBPS Clerk is a permanent job. All candidates selected for IBPS Clerk exam will be on a probation period of six months. After this period, candidates are confirmed as permanent employees only after an assessment through a test or review of their performance in the probation period. Candidates for the post of IBPS Clerk is selected based on the performance in the Mains exam. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. IBPS Clerk prelims exam pattern is such that it is divided into three sections-Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and English Language. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. The mains exam comprises General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the test are 200.

The role of IBPS comes to end after the provisional allotment. The offer of appointment is done by the bank/organisation to which candidates has been provisionally allotted. The candidates may contact the allottee bank for appointment. It is better to contact the allotted bank to know regarding the appointment.

The overall difficulty level of the prelims exam was easy to moderate. The difficulty of the Mains exam was moderate. 

IBPS Clerk selection process comprises filling the application form, downloading the admit card, appearing in the exam, declaration of result and release of marksheet and final allotment. The online exam is conducted in two stages-prelims andMainsexams. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. Provisional allotment of candidates is done based on the marks obtained in theMainsexam. IBPS only conducts the prelims andMainsexams. The joining formalities are carried out by the participating banks.

Based on the performance of candidates, they are eligible for promotion after two years. There are two process through which candidates get promotion. Candidates who get promoted through the normal process are not required to appear for JAIIB and CAIIB diplomas. They are promoted based on their experience, seniority and performance in the written exam which is conducted internally. For merit-based promotion, candidates are require to have JAIIB and CAIIB diplomas from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
