CSIR UGC NET 2021 exam to be deferred amid COVID-19 situation; see details here
CSIR NET 2021 exam will be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as per the tweet posted by the CSIR HRDG on April 20, 2021.
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) HRDG has announced that the CSIR UGC NET 2021 exam is likely to be deferred due to the COVID-19 situation in the country. The announcement was made by the CSIR Human Resource Development Group (HRDG) on its official Twitter handle through a tweet.
The tweet posted by the CSIR clearly states that the CSIR NET 2021 exam will be deferred to the middle of July 2021. Have a look at the tweet below:
When will CSIR NET 2021 exam be held?
The CSIR NET 2021 notification and exam dates were to be announced in mid-April, as per the earlier tweet of the CSIR HRDG dated March 18, 2021. It was highly expected that the NTA or CSIR would announce the CSIR NET exam dates anytime now. However, due to the uncertain COVID-19 situation, the announcement has been deferred.
The CSIR NET exam is conducted by the conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the selection of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. The exam is held in five subjects- Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.
