RBI Grade B Vacancy 2026: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will release RBI Grade B 2026 vacancies along with the notification. In 2025, a total of 120 vacancies were announced for Officers in General, DEPR and DSIM streams. RBI Grade B vacancies are announced separately for different posts and categories. Candidates selected through the RBI Grade B exam will join the post of Officers in the Combined Seniority Group.

RBI Grade B Salary
Selected candidates under RBI Grade B recruitment are entitled to the basic pay of INR 55,200 per month. The pay scale is 55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850 (2) - 86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years). They are also eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, and Grade Allowance. At present, the initial monthly Gross emoluments are approximately INR 1,08,404.
RBI Grade B Selection Process
RBI Grade B selection process includes Phase 1, 2 and Interview. The Phase 1 exam is common for all the posts. The marks obtained in the Phase 1 exam are not counted for the final merit list. Selection of candidates is done based on Phase 2 and interview. Candidates for RBI Grade B exam is selected based on their merits.

RBI Grade B exam is conducted in three phases I, II, & III. Phase I is based on General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. In Phase 2, there are three papers: Economic and Social Issues, English, and Finance & Management. The final selection of the candidates is based on an interview. Phases I and II carriers 200 and 300 marks, respectively. The interview carries 75 marks. The duration for Phase 1 is 120 minutes. Phase 2 has a different time duration: Paper I & III are conducted for 120 minutes, and Paper III for 90 minutes.
RBI Grade B exam is conducted in three phases-1, 2 and Interview. Paper 1 exam is held for 200 marks. Phase 2 carries 300 marks. Interview is held for 75 marks. The difficulty level is different for each stages of exam. Phase 2 is bit tougher.
RBI Grade B vacancies were announced for 2023. A total of 291 vacancies have been announced. Out of the total vacancies, 222 vacancies are for General post, 38 are DEPR and 31 for DSIM post.
