UGC NET Admit Card 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the UGC NET 2026 June session admit card a few days before the examination date. It will be released on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates required the login credentials to download the admit card including the application number and date of birth. The June session exam date have not been released yet. It is expected to be conducted in the last week of June. The hall ticket is a mandatory document that needs to be carried to the examination centre. Without the call letter, candidate will not be allowed to give the UGC NET exam.

How to download UGC NET Admit Card 2026?

The NTA is expected to release the important dates for the UGC NET exam along with the official notification. Those candidates who will appear in the exam will be able to download their hall ticket by visiting the official website. Along with the admit card, candidates need to carry one valid photo ID proof to the exam centre. The UGC NET exam will be conducted online in the computer-based test mode at several examination centers.

  • Visit at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the admit card link for the exam
  • Enter the details asked on the login page- application number, date of birth, and security pin
  • Click on the submit button 
  • Download the admit card/hall ticket on the screen and save it for later use

What to Do In Case of Discrepancy in UGC NET Admit Card?

In case, a candidate is not able to download his/her admit card or there is any discrepancy in the particulars given on the admit card, s/he should call the following helpline number of the NTA - 011-40759000. Candidates can call on these numbers on working days from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. 

In case of any error on the UGC NET admit card, the official website of the exam informs, “In such cases, candidates would appear in the examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later.”

UGC NET Exam Day Instructions & Documents to Carry

The National Testing Agency will conduct the UGC NET June examination 2026 for 85 subjects in computer based test (CBT) mode. The exam day instructions are provided here.

  • Do not forget to carry the admit card along with the following documents:
    • One passport-size photo (same as uploaded on the application form)
    • PwD certificate, if applicable
    • One original authorised photo ID (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar Enrolment No/ Ration Card)
  • Appear for UGC NET only at the exam centre mentioned on the admit card
  • Appear for UGC NET only as per the date, shift, and time mentioned on the admit card 
  • Do not carry a mobile phone, calculator, or any other gadget to the exam hall
  • Do not carry any eatables or water to the exam centre
  • Must wear a face mark
  • Must carry own pocket hand sanitizer in a transparent bottle

A: 

No. Candidate must possess a Master's degree with  a minimum of 55% grade score average from a UGC recognised university to apply for the NTA UGC NET exam. Also, if she or he is in the final year of their Master's programme or hold a four year bachelor's degree in specific subjects. 

Q:   What is the mode of application for UGC NET exam?
A: 

Candidates can submit their UGC NET application form in an online. No other method is there to fill the form. Without it, candidates will not be able to sit in the examination.

Q:   If I have taken UGC NET 2026 Paper 1, will I be qualified?
A: 

No. Candidates are required to appear in both UGC NET Paper 1 and Paper 2 to qualify for the exam. Candidates need to pass both exams separately to be considered for the position. Qualifying marks category-wise are mentioned below:

For General or Unreserved category: 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together

For PWD/SC/ST/OBC Non-creamy layer and Transgenders: 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together.
