JEE Mains 2027 Dates: NTA JEE Schedule (Session 1 OUT), Application Form & Notification

JEE Main 2027 Session 1 will be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30. The authorities have kept January 31, 2027, as a buffer day. Candidates should also remember that JEE Main is conducted over multiple days and shifts. Therefore, the date on which one candidate appears may be different from that of another.

NTA will release JEE Main 2027 session 1 application form in the last week of October 2026. The registration and complete form filling process will be online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main application form is typically available for 30 to 35 days (approximately 1 month) for each session.

Candidates meeting the JEE Mains 2027 eligibility criteria can apply for the exam by the application deadline. They must upload a live photo, a scanned passport-sized photo, and their signature. OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST candidates need to include details of their certificate authority and date, while PwD/PwBD candidates must upload their category certificates.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) opens the form correction facility for JEE Mains after the registration window closes for each session. This opportunity for corrections is available to all candidates who apply for JEE Mains 2027 by the application deadline.

When the JEE Mains form correction link is activated, all registered candidates must visit jeemain.nta.nic.in to verify their information. They are advised to make any necessary corrections to their application forms. Candidates should note that any additional fees (if applicable) must be paid during the correction process using a Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

NTA will release the JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2027 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. For session 1, the city slip will be out in January 2027, and for session 2, the JEE Main 2027 city slip can be expected in March 2027.

The city intimation slip mentions details of the exam date and exam city of the candidate. Candidates must note that the exam city slip is different from the admit card. Note that NTA is not going to change the JEE Main 2027 exam date under any condition. NTA has clarified via the FAQs that, even if there is a clash with other state or national-level entrance exams, the JEE Main 2027 exam date will not be changed.

The NTA JEE Main admit card is released 3 to 4 days before the candidate's allotted exam date. Candidates who submit their application for the JEE Main 2027 exam receive a hall ticket to download and bring to the exam centre. They must also carry a valid photo ID (like a voter ID, PAN card, or driving licence) and a passport-size photo (the same as in the application). One colour printout of the NTA JEE Main Admit Card is required. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The NTA JEE Main answer key is released within a week after the completion of the JEE Mains 2027 exam. The provisional answer key is released first and is kept open for challenges from candidates. To download the answer keys, candidates have to log in with their application number and password. NTA opens a challenge window for candidates who wish to challenge the provisional key. The final JEE Mains answer key, released after reviewing the objections submitted by the candidates, is used to calculate the result/score of the candidates.

Also, NTA releases shift-wise JEE Mains question papers and uploads the response sheets of the candidates. By comparing the answer keys and response sheets, candidates can calculate their probable marks out of 300 in the exam.

The JEE Main result for 2027 is released online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates need to log in using their application number and password to check their results.

It is important for candidates to download their JEE Main results and keep them safe for the admission process, especially during counselling. The JEE Main result includes the candidate's normalised percentile scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as their aggregate percentile score across all three subjects.

Alongwith the results for Session 2 of the JEE Main, which is the final result for this examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will also release the JEE Main cut-off percentile. This cut-off represents the minimum percentile that candidates must achieve to qualify for JEE Advanced.
