The Union Public Service Commission will release the Civil Service (IAS) exam admit card 2025 for the interview phase in December. The Commission is expected to release UPSC CSE (IAS) result for the main exam in November/December 2025. The Commission will release the UPSC Interview Call Letter on its official website - upsc.gov.in. The Commission will conduct the UPSC interviews face to face only, at the Dholpur House, New Delhi. The UPSC IAS interviews will be conducted till March 2026.

The candidates will be required download their admit card by logging in with the OTR and password. The UPSC 2025 admit card will be the essential document to show and get entry to the UPSC Bhawan in New Delhi.The Commission conducted the UPSC Civil Service Main Exam 2025 in August.

What to do in case facing problem in downloading UPSC IAS admit card?

In case, candidates are not able to download their UPSC IAS admit card, they should contact the commission immediately. The official website informs, “Information in this regard can also be obtained from the Facilitation Counter located in the commission’s office either in person or over phone Nos. 011-23381125/011- 23385271/ 011-23098543.”

Since no digital instrument (of any type) is allowed at the UPSC exam centre hence the candidates cannot show the digital copy of their admit card.  Moreover it is advisable to take a coloured print out of the UPSC admit card. The exam centre officials will see the admit card and one photo identity proof before allowing entry into the exam centre.

UPSC IAS Prelims exam day instructions

UPSC has released the exam day instructions on its official website. The candidates can see below the general instuctions applicable on the exam day.

General Instructions

  • One important change this year the IAS prelims admit card structure. This year the UPSC has printed the identity card number on the admit card itself and the candidates are required to carry the same Government identity card with them to the exam venue.
  • The candidates should reach the UPSC exam centres ten minutes before the commencement time of the IAS prelims exam. The candidates might be asked for frisking and it requires time.
  • All types of electronic or communication devices are prohibited at the exam venue. The candidates cannot carry the mobile device even in the switch-off mode. If the candidate is found with any such device, disciplinary action will be taken against him/her which could lead to a ban from future UPSC exams.
  • If the candidate mark any specific mark on the roll number or the details given in the answer sheet

The candidates can download the IAS admit card in case they lost it. Even on the day of exam, the candidates can appear in the first paper and show their IAS admit card in the second shift.
