CUET 2024 Exams in Delhi Rescheduled; Exams on Schedule in Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Other Cities

UGC Chairman Speaks to Shiksha.com: “Rescheduled in the Best Interest of Students; Revised Admit Cards to Be Issued”

In a recent development, the University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman, Prof M. Jagadesh Kumar, has confirmed the cancellation of certain CUET exams in Delhi. However, CUET UG exams will continue as planned in other parts of the National Capital Region (NCR), including Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurgaon.

Speaking exclusively with Shiksha.com, Prof Kumar said: “Due to unavoidable reasons, the four papers scheduled on 15 May in the 258 Centres of Delhi city only have to be rescheduled to 29 May 2024. NTA has done this in the best interest of the students. The revised admit cards will be issued.”

According to a notice issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exams affected are Chemistry (306), Biology (304), English (101), and General Test (501). These CUET UG 2024 exams, initially set for May 15, 2024, in Delhi, will now take place on May 29, 2024. The revised admit cards will be provided to the candidates scheduled to appear in the Delhi centers.

The NTA notice also clarifies that the CUET exams scheduled for May 15, 2024, will proceed as originally planned in all other cities across the country, including Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Noida, as well as abroad. Additionally, exams on subsequent dates, May 16, 17, and 18, 2024, will continue as scheduled in all centers, including those in Delhi.
