What is MAH MBA CET?

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MAH CET is a state level exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to MBA/MMS/PGDM courses offered by various institutes in the state of Maharashtra. The exam score is accepted by:

1. All Government of Maharashtra Management Education Institutes
2. University Departments of Management Education
3. University Managed Management Education Institutes
4. All Un-Aided Management Education Institutes covered as per the Act

MAH MBA CET 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Check below minimum academic requirement for MAH CET 2027:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50 per cent marks (at least 45 per cent in case of reserved category candidates).

  • Final year graduation students or those awaiting their result are also eligible to apply. However, their average score of 2 years, should be meet the minimum score requirement.

  • Candidates appearing for CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA are considered to be eligible for admission in the All India Seats category. Such candidates will not have to appear for MAH CET.

  • There is no upper age limit for MAH CET. Working professionals can also appear for the exam.
  • Candidates are required to have Aadhaar card as it is now a mandatory requirement to fill the MAH CET application form

MAH CET Registration Process 2027

MAH CET MBA registration cum application process 2027 will be online. Candidates will have to fill the application form at the MAHACET website before the last date. Check the steps below for MAH CET application process:

  • Open the MAH CET MBA website: https://cetcell.mahacet.org/
  • Click on CET examination portal AY 2027-29
  • Click on ‘Register’ tab
  • Enter personal details, address, mobile phone number
  • Create a password and click on save and proceed
  • Note down the application number displayed on screen
  • Enter application number and password
  • Enter personal details, domicile and category
  • Enter academic details (class 10, 12 and graduation)
  • Upload a document for proof of identity (Aadhaar card)
  • Upload scanned copy of passport size photo and signature 
  • Enter test city preference for test centre allotment
  • Pay application fee (debit card/credit card/net banking) to complete the process

MAH CET 2026 was conducted in over 36 cities in Maharashtra and rest of India. This year, the exam was not conducted outslde the state. Candidates had to mention preferred test city in the application form. They had to select exam cities on the basis of exam date (April or May).

Registered candidates will have to download the hall ticket from the official website only. The hall tickets for both exam phases will be different and be released on different dates. Candidates will have to carry the session specific admit card. Given below is a brief description of MAH CET 2027 admit card download process:

MAH MBA CAP Round 2027: Seat Allotment

MAH MBA CET admission 2027 will be conducted through Centralised Admission Process (CAP). All MBA CET 2027 qualifiers will be eligible to participate in the CAP rounds for MBA/MMS seat allotment. Students from outside Maharashtra can participate too if they have valid scores of CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA. Such candidates can apply under All India category.

MAH MBA CET seat matrix 2026 

MBA CET CAP registrations is a mandatory step for all candidates. Listed below are key points candidates must know about MAH CET MBA counselling.

  • MAH MBA CET CAP round is held for both Maharashtra State and Outside Maharashtra State candidates.
  • MAH MBA CET CAP registration fees (for non-MAH CET students) is INR 1,500 to be paid at the time of filling the application online. For Reserved category students to fee is INR 1300.
  • Candidates have to mention their preferred college in the CAP form and if alloted, will have to confirm acceptance online.

MAH CET CAP 2027: Seat Allotment

The second part of MAH CET counselling 2027 will be seat allotment. This is an online process in which candidates are alloted seat in colleges they had selected in the CAP registration form. Seat allotment is done category wise and round wise. MAH CET CAP 2027 seat allotment will be done in 4 rounds. In every round, candidates will be alloted MBA/MMS seat. The candidates will have to accept or reject the seat. Next round allotment will be done basis remaining seats and remaining candidates. Once the candidates accepts a seat, he/she will becomes ineligible for the next round of seat allotment.

MAH MBA CET exam is held in about 48 cities. In every city, there is at least one exam centre. Since MAH CET is a state-level exam, the number of test cities is more within Maharashtra than in rest of India. The exam is held in 36 cities of Maharashtra and 12 cities in rest of the country. It requires a minimum of 3 months to cover each and every topic of MAH MBA CET. Candidates must dedicate at least that much time to cover the syllabus with detailed study, practice and revision.

Logical Reasoning section has 75 questions which are usually moderate but there can be a few questions that can challenge your skills. They can be confusing or time taking. Abstract Reasoning questions are easy, so candidates must target all 25 of them.
