UGC NET Admit Card 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC NET 2026 Advance City Intimation Slip for the re-exam that is schedule to be conducted on September 9 and 10. The UGC NET re-exam 2026 will be conducted for three subjects namely English, Commerce and Sociology. Candidates required login credentials including the application number and date of birth to download the UGC NET City Intimation Slip 2026. The UGC NET admit card for the same will be released three or four days before the examination date.

UGC NET City Intimation Slip & Re-Exam Schedule 2026

How to download UGC NET Admit Card 2026?

Along with the admit card, candidates need to carry one valid photo ID proof to the exam centre. The UGC NET exam will be conducted online in the computer-based test mode at several examination centers.

  • Visit at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the admit card link for the exam
  • Enter the details asked on the login page- application number, date of birth, and security pin
  • Click on the submit button 
  • Download the admit card/hall ticket on the screen and save it for later use

What to Do In Case of Discrepancy in UGC NET Admit Card?

In case, a candidate is not able to download his/her admit card or there is any discrepancy in the particulars given on the admit card, s/he should call the following helpline number of the NTA - 011-40759000. Candidates can call on these numbers on working days from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. 

In case of any error on the UGC NET admit card, the official website of the exam informs, “In such cases, candidates would appear in the examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later.”

Documents to carry with the UGC NET Admit Card 2026

Candidates can check below the list of the documents need to be carried along with the admit card by the aspirant to the examination centre:

  • Printed copy of an admit card
  • Valid Photo ID ( Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID or Driving License)

UGC NET Exam Day Instructions 2026

The National Testing Agency will conduct the UGC NET December examination 2026 for 87 subjects in computer based test (CBT) mode. The exam day instructions are provided here.

  • Do not forget to carry the admit card along with the following documents:
    • One passport-size photo (same as uploaded on the application form)
    • PwD certificate, if applicable
    • One original authorised photo ID (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar Enrolment No/ Ration Card)

No. Candidate must possess a Master's degree with  a minimum of 55% grade score average from a UGC recognised university to apply for the NTA UGC NET exam. Also, if she or he is in the final year of their Master's programme or hold a four year bachelor's degree in specific subjects. 

Q:   If I have taken UGC NET 2026 Paper 1, will I be qualified?
A: 

No. Candidates are required to appear in both UGC NET Paper 1 and Paper 2 to qualify for the exam. Candidates need to pass both exams separately to be considered for the position. Qualifying marks category-wise are mentioned below:

For General or Unreserved category: 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together

For PWD/SC/ST/OBC Non-creamy layer and Transgenders: 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together.
