SSC CGL 2026 Dates: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will tentatively release the SSC CGL Notification 2026 on March 31 at ssc.gov.in as per the media reports and tentative exam calendar. The SSC CGL application form will also likely to be released on the same day. The Commission is expected to conduct SSC CGL exam in May or June 2026. The exam will be conducted online that is in a Computer-based test mode. 

The exam date is an important because it also provide the information to other exam conducting bodies so that they can reserve those days as no exam days. The Commission will release the City intimation slip only a week before the exam start date and the SSC CGL admit card will be released only three days before the exam start date. The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC CGL result after the conduction of an exam. The SSC CGL result will be prepared based on the final answer key. The authority is expected to soon release the SSC CGL tier 2 result 2025 at ssc.gov.in. The exam was held on January 18 and 19. The Commission also released the SSC CGL Tier 2 answer key 2025 on January 30 under the candidate's login. The candidates were asked to send objections against the incorrect answers given in the tentative answer key. 

The Staff Selection Commission conducted the SSC Combined Graduate Level Tier 1 exam 2025 from September 12 to 26 and on 14 October for the candidates who faced technical glitch in their exam. SSC CGL Tier 1 result 2025 was released online on the Central portal on December 18.

Based on the past trends, generally SSC CGL Tier 1 good score is considered as 150+ and the target should be around 165 to 170+ for General category. For OBC or EWS 140 to 150 and target can range up to 160 to 165+.

No, the SSC CGL application fee, once paid is non-refundable. The fee once paid cannot be refunded at any point in time. The Commission mentioned that the application fee will not be refunded even when the candidates withdraw their applications. The Commission does not refund the application fee under any condition. There is no provision provided for the refund of application fee. Such facility was provided by UPSC earlier under the application withdrawal scheme.

The Commission release the SSC CGL 2025 notification on June 9, 2025, on its official website because the official notification was not released on April 22, 2025. No. The Tier 1 marks for the SSC CGL are not used in the preparation of the final merit list. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates are shortlisted for Tier 2 exam. However, the final selection and ranking is based on the marks obtained in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam.
