JEE Advanced 2024: JoSAA Counselling Starts Today at 5 PM; Know Eligibility for IIT Admission Here
JEE Advanced counselling for IIT admission is called JoSAA counselling. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) schedule has been announced and registration is starting today for IIT admissions along with NIT, IIIT and CFTIs admissions via the JEE Mains ranks.
The JEE Advanced 2024 results were declared by IIT Madras on June 9 via jeeadv.ac.in. Those who have obtained a JEE Advanced rank must now proceed to register for JoSAA counselling, a crucial step for securing admissions to the IITs. It's essential to note that possessing a JEE Advanced rank doesn't assure a seat in the IITs. In the previous year, out of 43,769 candidates with JEE Advanced ranks, only 17,340 were allotted seats.
JoSAA counselling registration will commence today, June 10, at 5 pm. Beyond just securing JEE Advanced ranks, numerous factors influence seat allotment in the IITs. These include the ratio of available seats to total applicants, preferences for specific courses and institutes, as well as reservation policies.
