Preferred browser to fill out the VIT BTech 2026 application form

For VITEEE 2026, candidates must submit their form before due date. More seamless submission, Mozilla Firefox and Chrome are two of most preferred browsers.

Candidates applying for VIT Engineering Entrance Examination must meet the eligibility criteria as issued by the authorities. The details regarding VITEEE eligibility have been included on the official website and information brochure. Here's brief information regarding the VIT eligibility for BTech applicants below -

• The applicant must be a resident/non-resident Indian National/OCI/PIO holder
• Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 1, 2024 can also apply.
• Only the date of birth (as mentioned on high school/SSC/X certificate) will be considered for admission. 
• The minimum qualifying mark is 60% in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, wtih mathematics percentage not less than 50%. 

Candidates are advised to go through the criteria before applying for VITEEE.

Candidates who want to study BTech at VIT Group of Institutions must appear for VITEEE. Here are some important highlights about VITEEE 2026 registration-

• VIT BTech admission application form is available at vitee.vit.ac.in
• While filling form, students must ensure that information provided (name, mother's name, father's name, gender, date of birth, community, mobile number, email address, etc) must be correct. 
• The authorities do not provide correction facility to students.
• Avoid submitting multiple form, it can lead to rejection or cancellation.

How to do VITEEE registration?

Here is a detailed process on how to apply for VIT application form 2026 -

New Candidate's Registration

• First, students have to visit the official website and fill out their email address, mobile number, and all other details correctly. 
• An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number for verification. Once the OTP is validated, students will receive a password, on their email ID.
• Candidates must ensure to complete registration before the due date. Refer VIT 2026 exam dates for event details.

To complete register, candidates need to create an account through VITEEE login.

NOTE: All updates regarding VIT Engineering Entrance Exam will be done at student's registered email ID and password. 

Filling details in application form and exam centres

Before filling the application form, students must read the declaration content carefully and acknowledge for the same. To fill details for VIT form, candidates must perform the following -

• Sign in with given credentials
• Enter personal, educational, and other details carefully.
• Check the board list carefully (available in annexure). The Board Code in the qualifying examination must be entered correctly. 
• Select the country, state, and test city

NOTE: Any discrepancy can lead to cancellation of admission. Also, candidates can select only one test city/ centre. They must choose the test city listed from Native State or Current Address or School state

Payment of VITEEE Registration Fees

• After filling above information, proceed to make the payment
• Students will have to pay INR 1350 through net banking, credit card or debit card. Offline fee payment is not accepted. For international test cities, they will have to pay USD 90. Candidates must note that the VITEEE exam fees for BTech admission are non-refundable.

Photo and Signature Upload

• After making the payment, the next stage of BTech admission form is uploading of documents.
• Candidates have to upload their photo and signature according to guidelines mentioned in VIT information brochure.

Submission of Application Form

After uploading all documents, submit exam form. Keep multiple copies for future reference. VITEEE registration is mandatory, and final selection to VIT campuses will be done based on rank and details provided in application form.

VIT allow students to upload their documents (photo and signature) for authentication and verification purposes. Candidates are advised to follow VITEEE exam application form guidelines for documents and upload them according to that. 

VITEEE photograph specifications

• Candidate's photo must be taken with a light background (white/off-white is preferred)
• Image should have fully frontal view with no tilting of head having neutral expression
• Ensure that the image is clear and not blurred
• The file should be in JPEG format only within 20 to 300 kb.
• The photo dimensions should be: width (300 to 400 pixels) and height (400 to 500 pixels)
• The candidate's photograph must have optimum exposure.

Signature specifications for VIT form

• Candidates have to draw a rectangular box of size 6 cm (width) x 2 cm height on an A4 size paper.
• Students must sign with a dark blue pen or black pen within the box.
• After that, scan it using a scanner (in JPEG format) and crop the image.
• Now open the scanned image on MS Paint and crop it having the dimensions: 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height).
• The file size of signature must be within 5 KB to 150 KB

• Application number

It is to be noted that the candidates are not required to send a hard copy of the VITEEE application form 2026 to the authorities after the online submission. Once the registration process is completed, students must start their VITEEE exam preparation as soon as possible.

How to recover password to access VITEEE Login?

Candidates can recover their password using the following process below -

• Go to viteee.vit.ac.in
• Go to "sign in option" and select "forgot password"
• After clicking "password recovery" option will be displayed on screen
• Enter registered email address and mobile number, followed by a captcha code
• A verification code will be sent to your contact details
• Submit and recover your password

VIT does not allow correction process after submission. However, students can raise a query at "Need Help" section available on candidate dashboard. For queries, candidates can contact from "Need Help Tab" available in the application portal or call helpline number - 044-46277555.

For SMS/email Tracking

• Application number is generated immediately after registration
• All updates will be sent to the registered email ID
• Once the form is submitted correctly, students will get a confirmation mail at their email address. 

As per the information brochure, Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam will be conducted in 134 cities in India and 9 cities abroad. The exam is conducted online for 2 hours and 30 minutes. With new changes made in VITEEE exam pattern, candidates are advised to plan their preparation and revision smartly.
