PSTET Application Form 2025: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will release the PSTET 2025 application form on the official website after the issue of official notification. Candidates will be able to apply for PSTET 2025 exam by visiting the official website or a direct link will be provided below. The PSTET registration 2025 will be conducted in an online mode only. The PSTET online application process involves online registration, application form submission, uploading of documents and application fee payment. Candidates who want to appear for the exam need to fill out the PSTET application form

PSTET Application Form 2025 will be released by the Punjab School Education Board on the website, after the issue of the notification. Candidates can apply for PSTET 2025 exam at the website. Clearing the PSTET (Punjab Teacher Eligibility Test) exam makes you eligible to become teachers in primary and upper primary schools in the state of Punjab. However, it does not guarantee teaching job.

Q:   Is there any restriction on the number of attempts for the PSTET exam?

No, you can apply and appear for the PSTET exam for any number of times. The PSTET Certificate is valid for a lifetime according to the norms of NCTE. Though, the candidates can take the PSTET exam to upgrade their marks. The guidelines have been given below for the candidates to take the PSTET exam

  • The candidates must fulfill the educational qualification criteria
  • The age of the candidates cannot be less than 18 years
  • There is no upper age limit to take the PSTET exam
  • The candidates can take the PSTET exam as many times as they want as there is no restrictions in taking the exam again

No, once submitted, you cannot make any changes to the PSTET application form. The candidates have to be careful while filling the application form because the form cannot be edited after the final submission. Though the application correction window is activated for the candidates to make changes in the application form. How to Fill the PSTET Application Form 2025?

  • Visit at pstet.pseb.ac.in
  • Click on the ‘New User’ tab
  • Read the instructions and proceed
  • Now click on the 'Registered User' tab
  • Register by entering the required details
  • Fill the application form - personal details, candidate’s contact details and permanent address
  • Upload scanned images of photo and signature
  • Pay the application fee
  • Submit the form and save it

Q:   How many papers does one need to give to qualify the PSTET exam?
A: 

Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 5 need to qualify PSTET Paper 1. Candidates planning to teach Classes 6 to 8 need to qualify for PSTET Paper 2. Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 8 need to qualify both papers. The candidates have to apply for the papers according to their eligibility set by the board. The educational qualification criteria has been given below for the candidates:

  • Paper 1 
    • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
    • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd)
  • Paper 2
    • Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. Graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd
Q:   Can PSTET application form be filled in offline mode?
A: 

No, the PSTET application form can be filled in online mode only on the official website of the board. The board follows a structure of completing exam process in which the online application is part of the structure. The candidates have to fill out the PSTET form online according to the norms of the board. The candidates have to pay the application fees online. No, either option is given to the candidates to make the payment for the PSTET exam.

Q:   In which mode the PSTET exam is conducted?

The PSTET exam is conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper based test. Candidates need to mark their answers on the OMR sheet. The candidates need to fill the sheet carefully as no extra OMR sheet will not be given in the exam. However, the PSTET application process is complete online process. The candidates have to fill out he application form online on the official website. Other than this the application fee have to paid online.

Paper 2 comprises 4 sections with a choice in the fourth one i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. PSTET Marking Scheme: 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the PSTET exam.

The PSTET exam marks vary depending upon the paper. It has two papers- Paper 1 and 2. First paper is for those candidates who wish to teach from classes I to V and second paper for those who are interested in teaching from classes 6 to 8th. Yes, the PSTET exam is held on single day but in two different shifts. The shift details are proved below

Shift 1: 10:00 am-12:30 pm for Paper 1
Shift 2: 2:30-5:00 pm for Paper 2

However, the shift timing can be changed by the board. Though, the candidates will be informed by the board before if any changes are made for the examination.
