The National Testing Agency will release the UGC NET 2026 admit card on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Those candidates who will register will be able to download their call letter by using their login credentials including application number and date of birth. The NTA UGC NET June session exam is expected to be held in the last week of June. It is mandatory for the candidates to carry their hall ticket to the examination centre without it, candidates will not be allowed to sit in UGC NET exam.

How to download UGC NET Admit Card 2026?

The UGC NET exam will be conducted online in the computer-based test mode at several examination centers.

  • Visit at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the admit card link for the exam
  • Enter the details asked on the login page- application number, date of birth, and security pin
  • Click on the submit button 
  • Download the admit card/hall ticket on the screen and save it for later use

What to Do In Case of Discrepancy in UGC NET Admit Card?

In case, a candidate is not able to download his/her admit card or there is any discrepancy in the particulars given on the admit card, s/he should call the following helpline number of the NTA - 011-40759000. Candidates can call on these numbers on working days from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. 

In case of any error on the UGC NET admit card, the official website of the exam informs, “In such cases, candidates would appear in the examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later.”

UGC NET Exam Day Instructions & Documents to Carry

The National Testing Agency will conduct the UGC NET June examination 2026 for 85 subjects in computer based test (CBT) mode. The exam day instructions are provided here.

  • Do not forget to carry the admit card along with the following documents:
    • One passport-size photo (same as uploaded on the application form)
    • PwD certificate, if applicable
    • One original authorised photo ID (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar Enrolment No/ Ration Card)
  • Appear for UGC NET only at the exam centre mentioned on the admit card
  • Appear for UGC NET only as per the date, shift, and time mentioned on the admit card 
  • Do not carry a mobile phone, calculator, or any other gadget to the exam hall
  • Do not carry any eatables or water to the exam centre
  • Must wear a face mark
  • Must carry own pocket hand sanitizer in a transparent bottle

No. Candidate must possess a Master's degree with  a minimum of 55% grade score average from a UGC recognised university to apply for the NTA UGC NET exam. Also, if she or he is in the final year of their Master's programme or hold a four year bachelor's degree in specific subjects.

The UGC NET June session 2026 exam date has not been announced yet. The exam will be conducted for a total duration of three hours or 180 minutes. The UGC NET exam will be conducted in a single session for both papers without any breaks. It will be conducted online.
