UPSC vacancies 2023 were released with the official notification. The Union Public Service Commission released 1,105 vacancies for the UPSC 2023 exam. It will serve as the motivation factor for the candidates and the number of UPSC 2023 applications is expected to increase. Along with the official notification, the UPSC applications 2023 were also activated. The last date to apply for the exam was February 21. The UPSC 2023 exam was conducted for 1,105 tentative vacancies on May 28.

The UPSC Civil Service 2023 Vacancies are tentative because the Commission can revise the number of UPSC vacancies anytime before the final result through a notice. The final UPSC vacancies will be mentioned in the UPSC result pdf. The UPSC vacancies play a major role in the UPSC recruitment process. UPSC vacancies are the most awaited attribute of the UPSC notification because of their motivational value. The higher number of UPSC vacancies implies higher number of selections in each stage of the exam.

UPSC Vacancies 2023

The candidates should note that the Commission notified 1,105 vacancies notified in the UPSC 2023 notification. The Commission also mentioned the number of vacancies reserved for the Person-with-Disability category. UPSC reserved 37 vacancies for PwB Category. The further drill down will give us the following summation:

The candidates can cover the IAS prelims syllabus if in six months if they are appearing for it for the first time. In case, the candidate has cleared the prelims earlier, he or she can prepare it in three months.

No, the Commission do not mention any Minimum Qualifying Marks for the General Studies Paper 1. But there is a criteria of Minimum 33 % for the General Studies Paper 2 (Aptitude) paper.

The IAS Prelims exam is conducted offline in the pen and paper mode. There is no sectional cutoff in the IAS prelims exam because the number of questions from a section is not fixed and they vary year to year.
