Preferred CUET UG 2025 Universities: Shiksha Poll
The Common University Entrance Test is a common platform for students planning to pursue undergraduate courses. With the CUET UG 2025 exam scheduled from May 8 to June 1, 2025, students are intensifying their preparations in hopes of securing a spot at their target university. To better understand student preferences this year, Shiksha launched a poll asking aspirants: Which college or university are you targeting through CUET UG 2025? The poll has already seen participation from thousands of students, offering early insights into trending choices.
NTA will release the CUET UG 2026 college and universities list with the official notification. Candidates preparing for CUET UG 2026 can check the list of CUET accepting colleges 2026. There are expected to be more than 250 universities which will be accepting CUET scores for admission to 2026-27 academic year. Candidates can check the university-wise UG courses and eligibility criteria.
As per the NIRF ranking 2024, the top 5 universities for CUET UG are:
NIRF 2- Jawaharlal Nehru University
NIRF 3- Jamia Millia Islamia
NIRF 5- Banaras Hindu University
NIRF 6- University of Delhi
NIRF 8- Aligarh Muslim University
Shiksha Poll: Which college or university are you targeting through CUET UG 2025?
- Delhi University (DU) emerged as the top choice, receiving a significant 60% of the votes. Known for its academic excellence, central location, and affordable courses, DU continues to dominate the preference list year after year.
- Banaras Hindu University (BHU) claimed the second spot with 22%, reflecting its strong reputation, especially among students from northern and eastern regions.
- The remaining votes were divided among other Central Universities, State Universities, and Private Universities, indicating a moderate interest in institutions beyond the top two.
The poll is still open, with 8 days remaining for students to submit their votes. Candidates can cast their votes to see which option is the most preferred and which one is the least preferred by the candidates.
How to apply for CUET UG Participating Universities 2025?
Once the CUET 2025 exams are over, the universities accepting CUET UG scores will release their application form for students to apply to the university. Once released, students can fill in their UG course choices to secure a seat at their target university.
