Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has released the VITEEE 2021 application form on November 30, 2020, on the official website. Candidates can now apply for VITEEE 2021 by filling and submitting the application form. The authorities have not yet announced the VITEEE 2021 application form last date. VITEEE 2021 will be held as a computer-based test from June 18 to 26. While filling out the VITEEE application form, the candidates will have to register, fill the form, upload scanned documents and pay the required fee. VITEEE 2021 admit card will be released only for the registered candidates. After the exam concludes, VITEEE 2021 result will be announced in online mode. What is VITEEE 2021?
VITEEE is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology every year for admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BTech) of participating institutes. Every year, VITEEE is held to enrol students for various undergraduate courses. Around two Lakh students apply for VITEEE every year. All the eligible candidates will be offered admissions to B.Tech programmes at VIT Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amravati. From 2018, the university is also offering admissions to BDes (Industrial Design) through VITEEE. The number of seats and the mode of selection will be purely at the discretion of the Management.
In 2020, a total of 1,83,059 candidates appeared in the VITEEE admission process conducted across 28 states, 8 union territories and twelve other countries (Middle East, Indonesia, Nepal, Nigeria, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, UK and Singapore) of the world. For admission to all the courses offered by different campuses of the institute, VITEEE 2021 counselling will be conducted by the VIT University in offline mode and seats will be allotted to candidates as per the ranks obtained by candidates in VITEEE 2021, preferences by candidates, and availability of seats.

VITEEE 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2021 to know the different conditions that have to be met to be eligible for admissions.
Nationality: The applicant for admission should be a Resident/Non-Resident Indian National/PIO Holder.
Age Limit: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1999 are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2021. The date of birth as recorded in the High School Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling, failing which, they will be disqualified.
Qualifying Examination: Candidates appearing for the VITEEE 2021 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2021, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:
- The final examination of the Class 12 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi
- Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level
As per VIT Norms, Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE. They should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining - Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply
Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination
- Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2021 should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate)
- The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) put together should be 50% for the following categories:
(a) Candidates belonging to SC/ST Community
(b)Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
- CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission
- In case, the mark statement is not produced by the candidates at the time of admission, the decision of the Management regarding his/her eligibility and admission to the programme shall be final.
- For Indian nationals/ NRI/ PIO cardholder, appearance in VITEEE-2021 is mandatory to be eligible for BTech admission
- In case VITEEE gets cancelled due to natural calamities, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks or JEE Main 2021 scores or a valid SAT
Subject Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the qualifying examination are eligible for all the B.Tech. Degree programmes
- Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying examination are eligible only for B.Tech. Bio-stream Degree programmes as below, but after joining, registering for Mathematics as a bridge course is mandatory BTech Bio-engineering, Biotechnology, CSE with specialisation in Bioinformatics, ECE with specialisation in Biomedical Engineering programmes
- Even though the admission is done as per the VITEEE ranking, the candidate has to fulfil the eligibility norms mentioned

VITEEE 2021 Admission Process
Highlights of VITEEE 2021 Admission Process
- It is a must for students to appear in VITEEE 2021 is for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes of different campuses of VIT.
- The admission is based on the ranks secured by the applicant in the VITEEE-2021.
- Applicants will be called for counselling to designated centres in India on a particular day decided based on the VITEEE 2021 rank.
- The applicant or authorised blood relative should appear in person with relevant documents in original for verification. The candidate will not be permitted to attend counselling more than once under any circumstances.
- A provisional admission letter will be issued based on the candidate's choice of programme and campus.
- Once admitted, no change of campus or branch will be entertained.
- VIT does not have any agent and all payments will be in demand draft or bank transfer only in favour of ‘VIT or Vellore Insitute of Technology’.
Admission Process
Step 1: Filling the application form
Interested candidates can apply for VITEEE 2021 in only online mode. An application fee of Rs.1150/- (inclusive of GST) - for general candidates needs to be paid online via Netbanking/Credit/Debit card. NRI students need to pay 50 USD through online mode.
Candidates who want to fill the application form must visit VITEEE 2021 official website where they can register for the entrance exam. On this official portal, candidates have to fill in their details and also provide their email ID. Once they complete this task, they need to confirm their password and fill the complete application form for VITEEE 2021. Candidates are advised to pay extra attention while entering their date of birth (DOB) in the application form and choosing the test centre. VITEEE 2021 test centre once selected cannot be changed.
Step 2: Download VITEEE 2021 Admit Card
- The admit card for VITEEE will be issued to the candidates online itself. Candidates then need to download the VITEEE e-admit card and take a print out of this card and bring it along on the entrance exam day.
- Please note that the VITEEE e-admit card will be generated to candidates only if they have booked their schedule through the Online Test Booking System.
- Candidates are advised to keep their admit card safe till the admission process is over as if they are shortlisted based on their VITEEE 2021 score, they have to show their admit card at the time of VITEEE 2021 counselling.
Step 3: Appearing for VITEEE 2021 exam
Candidates need to appear for the exam as per the date of the exam selected by them. To know more about the VITEEE exam pattern, scroll down.
Candidates are shortlisted and thereafter called for the counselling round primarily based on ranks secured by them in VITEEE 2021. So, candidates need to pay special attention when preparing for VITEEE 2021 syllabus, so that they can fare well in the entrance exam.
Step 4: Appearing for Counselling Round

The documents candidates need to bring along with them for VITEEE 2021 counselling are as follows:
- Class X Board Certificate as proof of date of birth or any age proof certificate
- Community Certificate (for SC/ST only)
- Mark sheet of qualifying examination (if available)
- VITEEE-2021 e-Admit Card.
- DD for Rs 30,000/- drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore
- Nativity Certificate (For candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura)
Candidates need to furnish the original as well as the photocopies of documents listed above at the time of VITEEE counselling.
VITEEE 2021 Exam Day Guidelines
Do's for VITEEE 2021
- Be present at the test centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the e-Admit card
- Register your name in the registration counter and carry the e-Admit card and a valid ID proof for verification
- Sit in your allotted seat only
- Maintain perfect silence and work on your testing process only
- Sign the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator
Don’ts for VITEEE 2021
- Candidates are not allowed to carry any text material, printed or written, bits of papers or any material except the e-Admit card inside the test hall
- Candidates will not be permitted to carry any electronic devices like mobile phones, paging devices, calculators, spy cameras, blue-tooth devices, and music systems
- Students will not be allowed to go outside the test hall until the completion of the entire duration of the exam time
- Not allowed to eat or drink anything (snacks, tea, coffee, and cool drinks, etc.) inside the test hall. Plain water bottles with nothing written or printed on them will be allowed in the examination hall.
- Violation of any instruction and adoption of any unfair means in the examination hall will make the candidate ineligible for admission. ¾¾ Impersonation (or any such crimes) will be reported to Police.

No you will have paper related to basics of your specialisation of your field. You can refer to syllabus and mock test on different sites and get an idea.

According to beta guidelines you can refer and fill up the form as it is only for formality
If you will enroll yourself in future then submit your report card and that's the main thing.
