CSIR NET 2024 Dec Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the CSIR UGC NET exam from today: February 28, 2025. The CSIR NET exam is being held for Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Chemical Sciences. As per the exam timings, the CSIR UGC NET Dec 2024 is being held in two shifts.
The first shift will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon for Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences and Physical Sciences. Whereas, the CSIR NET 2024 second shift will be conducted from 3 to 6 pm for Mathematical Sciences.

Candidates must strictly adhere to the reporting time mentioned on their admit card. It is recommended to arrive at the examination centre well in advance to complete the verification and security checks smoothly. Latecomers may not be allowed entry.

What to Carry for the CSIR NET 2024 Exam?
To avoid any last-minute hassles, candidates must ensure they carry the following essential items:
- Admit Card: A printed copy of the CSIR NET 2024 admit card is mandatory for entry
- Valid Photo ID Proof: Any government-issued photo ID such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License.
- Passport-size Photographs: Same as the one uploaded during registration.
- Transparent Ballpoint Pen: Candidates are advised to carry a blue or black ballpoint pen.
What Not to Carry To CSIR NET 2024 Exam Centre
Certain items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Possession of any such items may lead to disqualification.
- Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or Bluetooth devices.
- Study materials, notes, books, or chits.
- Any kind of paper except the admit card and ID proof.
- Food items (except for medical reasons with prior permission).
- Heavy jewelry or any accessory that may trigger security alarms.
CSIR NET 2024 Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates must follow the below-mentioned guidelines:
- Biometric Verification: Candidates may have to undergo biometric verification; hence, they should avoid applying henna (mehendi) or any other substances on their hands.
- Dress Code: Candidates are advised to wear simple clothing without big buttons or metallic embellishments to avoid extra screening.
- Exam Hall Conduct: Any unfair means or malpractice may result in immediate disqualification.
