
The Union Public Service Commission is expected to release the UPSC Main result 2025 in December. The Commission conducted the UPSC main exam 2025 in the last week of September. The candidates should note that the Commission will not release the UPSC cutoff for the main exam as well. The UPSC cutoff is released for all the exams after the declaration of final result. The Commission released the UPSC prelims result 2025 on June 11. The Commission conducted the UPSC 2025 exam on May 25, 2025 at the designated exam centres across the nation.
The candidates should note that there is no minimum marks that can be ascretained for the IAS. The final UPSC merit list is based on the marks secured in the main (written) and personlaity test condcuted at Dholpur House, UPSC. The Commission arrange the candidates in the order of their merit and select top candidates for the Indian Administrative Service if they have opted for it as their first choice.
The minimum marks for IAS cannot be asertained as the cutoff for each year differs from year to year.

How to Check the UPSC Result 2025?
The candidates can check the result in the following way
Step 1. Go to the official website - upsc.gov.in
Step 2. The UPSC IAS result 2025 link will appear under 'What's New' Section
Step 3. On clicking above, the 'UPSC CSE result 2025' link will appear
Step 4. Click on the link as appear above, and the UPSC IAS 2025 result pdf will open on screen
Step 5. Search the roll number in the UPSC Result pdf
Step 6. Download the UPSC Civil Service (IAS) Result 2025
UPSC conducted the IAS exam 2025 in September 2025. The Commission will not release the UPSC cutoff and answer key with the result. The Commission will release the answer key and UPSC cutoff 2025 after the declaration of the final result.

UPSC 2025 Result Dates

UPSC result 2022 was released on May 23, 2023. The Commission releases the names of the UPSC toppers 2022 in the result pdf. Ishita Kishore topped the Civil Service (IAS) exam. Garima Lohia ranked 2nd in the exam. Uma Harathi N secured rank 3 in the exam. The Union Public Service Commission released the IAS result 2022 pdf on its offical website - upsc.gov.in. The Commission mentioned the roll number, names and ranks of the selected candidates. The Commission released the UPSC rank list 2022 on its official website - upsc.gov.in. The Commission selected 2,485 candidates for the personality test. UPSC prelims result 2022 was released online on June 22, 2022. UPSC result is released for each stage of the exam to promote the qualified candidates to the next level. Union Public Service Commission issues the result in online mode only. UPSC result mentions the roll number of the candidates in the pdf file and the candidates need to search their roll numbers on the official UPSC result pdf. The Union Public Service Commission conduct the IES prelims exam in offline mode. The Commission prepares the IES answer key and compare the answers of the candidates with it. With comparing, the Commission calculate the marks of the candidates by awarding 2 marks for each correct question and deducting 0.6 marks for each incorrect answer.
The Commission arrange the candidates in order of their merit in their category. The candidates from other category can be counted in unreserve category if they score equal or better marks than the Unreserved Category candidate. The Commission mention that "The number of candidates to be admitted to the Main/Stage-II Examination will be about six to seven times, the total approximate number of vacancies to be filled in the year through this examination".
NDA 1 2025 result was announced on April 28, 2025. The result was announced on the official website. However, the direct link to check the result is provided on this page. NDA result is announced name-wise and roll number-wise. The result PDF displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Those qualifying the written exam of NDA are called for SSB Interview. Wherever two or more candidates have secured equal aggregate marks in ESE the tie(s) have been resolved in accordance with the principles approved by the Commission, viz.
(i) The candidates with more marks in subject/technical papers plus marks of Personality Test may be ranked higher;
(ii) In case the total marks in the subject/technical papers plus marks of Personality Test are equal, thecandidate who is senior in age may be ranked higher.
