UPSC IAS Exam 2026: Notification Postponed, Vacancies, Eligibility, Dates, Syllabus, Pattern & FAQs

The Union Public Service Commission has postponed the Civil Service (IAS) notification 2026. The Commission will notify the new date for the notification release. The Commission will release the IAS notification soon on its official website - upsc.gov.in. The Commission will notify the number of vacancies, important dates, eligibility, syllabus, exam pattern and other important guidelines to fill the UPSC IAS applications. The Commission has started the face detection system at the examination centre, hence it will be very important that the candidates do the face image uploading diligently during the application process.

The Commission will conduct the IAS 2026 exam on May 24, 2026. There will be two papers of two hours each. The last date to apply for the Civil Service 2026 will also be revised from February 3, 2026. The Commission will mention the application correction dates in the IAS notification. The candidates are suggested to read all the conditions mentioned in the government gazatte because in case of non-confirmity to any of the eligibility condition, the Commission can cancel the candidature of the candidate.

The UPSC is conducting the face to face interview at UPSC Bhawan, Dholpur House in New Delhi in a phase-wise manner. The phase -2 interviews are going on.
