JEE Main 2026 Admit Card: The National Testing Agency will release the JEE Mains session 2 admit card 2026 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The admit card for session 2 of JEE Mains will be available 3 to 4 days before the exam. The exact release date of the NTA JEE Mains 2026 hall ticket has not been notified by the Agency.

Going by the trends, the JEE Main 2026 session 2 admit card is expected to be out on March 28 ot 29, if the exam starts from April 2. NTA has announced that the session 2 exam will be held between April 2 and 9. As of now, the exact exam dates are not out, and NTA will release the dates in due course.

To download the JEE Mains April attempt admit card, candidates have to use their application number and password. On the JEE Main 2026 exam day, candidates have to carry the printed copy of the admit card with a valid government ID proof. Without the NTA JEE Main admit card, no candidate will be allowed inside the exam centre. All important details about the exam, like the allotted exam centre name, address, shift, JEE Main exam day guidelines, instructions, and reporting time, will be available on the JEE Mains exam admit card.

Before the JEE Main admit card 2026, NTA will issue the JEE city intimation slip to all registered candidates in the second week of March. The city slip will have the allotted JEE Main session 2 exam date and exam city. The city slip is not the same as the admit card.

Items ALLOWED at JEE Mains Exam Centre

Candidates need to carry following items to the exam centre.

  1. Admit card along with filled in Self Declaration
  2. One passport-size photo
  3. Any one photo ID proof among – valid School Identity Card/ PAN card / Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (with photograph)/ e-Aadhaar with photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.

Any item other than those listed above will not be allowed inside the exam centre. Some exam centres have a luggage room facility where candidates can place their belongings, such as bags, books, or any eatables. However, it is advised that candidates must not carry anything other than the allowed items

JEE Main 2026 Exam Day Instructions & Dress Code

NTA notifies exam day instructions to candidates through the JEE Mains 2026 hall ticket. Candidates should check all the JEE Mains exam day guidelines mentioned in their admit card and adhere to them. All exam day guidelines for candidates are listed below.

  • JEE Main aspirants will not be allowed to carry any item other than those mentioned on the admit card.

  • Blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination room

  • Candidates must write their name and roll number at the top of the sheet and return the sheets and admit card to the Invigilator, before leaving the examination hall

  • Diabetic students will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits and transparent water bottles to the examination hall/room. However, they will not be allowed to carry packed foods like chocolates/candy/sandwiches, etc.

  • Candidates will have to sit in the seat allocated to them

  • Candidates will be allowed to appear at the allotted venue of the test only

  • Wearing a watch inside the exam hall is not allowed

  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre once the exam starts

  • Candidates without an admit card will not be allowed to appear for the exam

  • Leaving the exam hall before closure/end of the exam is not permitted

  • Request for a change in JEE Main 2026 exam centres will not be entertained

JEE Main 2026 Reporting Time

The JEE Main 2026 exam date and reporting time are mentioned on the JEE Mains admit card. Candidates have to follow the exam day schedule strictly, as after the exam centre closes, candidates cannot enter the exam hall. Inside the exam hall the following activitoes will take place:

  1. The security guards will check every candidate thoroughly at the time of entry into the exam centre.
  2. Before entering the exam hall, the invigilator at the JEE Main Exam Centre will check and verify the candidate details mentioned in JEE Main admit card and validate it with the photo ID proof.
