VITEEE 2026: Vellore Institute of Technology has opened registrations for BTech admissions. VITEEE registration can be done online on its official website- viteee.vit.ac.in. The last date to apply is March 31. Candidates who are interested in applying for VIT Engineering Entrance Exam must submit their form within the given deadline. As per official update, the VITEEE 2026 exam date can be checked below. 

Vellore Institute of Engineering Entrance Exam 2026 will take place from April 28 to May 3 on multiple dates. To fill VITEEE application form, candidates need to check their eligibility first. As per guidelines, candidates must have completed 10+2 from a recognised board. 

This year, the conducting authorities have introduced negative marking in VITEEE paper pattern. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and -1 mark will be deducted for incorrect response.

  • Candidate registration is mandatory, as it allocates an application number and password.

Correction Facility for VITEEE BTech

The Vellore Institute of Technology does not offer correction facility to students. However, students can raise a query/service request regarding candidate login dashboard with relevant details. Attempt limit

There is no attempt limit for the VITEEE. For one academic year, student can attempt once. Candidates can appear for the entrance test every year. However, one must meet the required eligibility as mentioned above.

The authorities have released VITEEE exam pattern in the information brochure. This year, there has been a change in the marking scheme. VIT has introduced "negative marking" in VITEEE.  Now, for each question 4 marks are awarded, and one mark is deducted for each incorrect response.

The VIT BTech slot booking process will start after registration process. Candidates who have registered for the exam must apply for VITEEE slot booking. The mode of slot booking is online and will be available for a limited period of time.

The process to book slot for VIT entrance exam will be available at VITEEE OTBS portal at viteee.vit.ac.in. 

Important Things to Note:

  • During this process, candidates have to select "VITEEE exam test centre" first. It should be the same as one chosen while filling application form.
  • The slots are booked by first-come-first-serve and are allotted based on the availability of exam date and time.
  • Once slot is booked, candidates cannot make changes to it.

How to access VIT BTech OTBS Portal 2026?

Candidates can access the portal using their application number, password and registered email ID. VIT slot booking password will be sent to their registered email address. Once the slot is booked, a confirmation mail will be generated and sent to registered email ID. The e-admit card will be issued to candidates for download in 48 hours prior to booked schedule.

VIT admit card 2026 will be issued to students 48 hours before student's booked slot. Registered candidates can download their hall ticket at VITEEE OTBS portal. To download VIT exam admit card, students will have to provide their application number and password. Before saving their hall ticket, applicants must check whether the exam date and time, name, photo, signature, etc., are mentioned properly or not. 

Note: Candidates must take printout of e-admit card on a A4 size paper. The admit card of VIT exam must have a watermark on it.

Once the verification and biometric process is completed, candidates are allotted a system to attempt test. Applicants are monitored throughout the exam time. In addition, students will not be allowed to leave before the end of exam time. VIT BTech counselling 2026 is the last stage of the admission process. VITEEE counselling will begin after the declaration of results. Candidates who have qualified can participate in counselling process. Through counselling, students will be offered admission to VIT Vellore/AP/Chennai/Bhopal campuses based on their test performance. 

  • To participate in counselling, students will have to pay a non-refundable counselling fee of INR 5900/- (which will be remitted on declaration of results)
  • Counselling will be done in five phases and is common for all VIT group of institutions.
  • Tentative counselling start date is second week May 2026.

  • First, candidates have to register by paying a non-refundable amount of INR 5900/-
