IBPS Clerk Prelims Result

The preliminary exam for IBPS Clerk comprises English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks for the test are 100. Candidates are required to qualify in each of the three tests by securing the cut off marks. On the basis of IBPS Clerk result prelims, an adequate number of candidates in each category are called for the mains exam. The preliminary exam is qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam are not counted for the final merit list.

IBPS Clerk Mains Result

IBPS Clerk Mains Result PDF includes the roll numbers and names of the selected candidates. Marks obtained in the mains exam are considered for final selection. Candidates selected through IBPS Clerk CRP XI exam are recruited to the post of Clerks in any of the 11 public sector banks across the country. In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice.

The provisional allotment of candidates is subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria of participating banks including proficiency in Local Language of the State and identity verification. Candidates belonging to the reserved category, selected on the basis of norms as applicable to the General Category, have been treated at par with a General category candidate for drawing up the merit list. Such a candidate has not been adjusted against a reserved post.

The mains exam comprised four sections: General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks for the test are 200. The marks of the mains exam are considered for the final merit list.

IBPS Clerk Final Result

The score obtained in the mains exam is considered for the final selection. The maximum and minimum scores of IBPS Clerk mains exam or final allotment are calculated out of 100 marks. The total weighted scores of the mains exam are calculated by aggregating the scores of all sections.

IBPS Clerk Result 2025: Calculation of Scores

The scores of candidates are calculated in the following manner:

  1. The number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying the penalty for the wrong answer.
  2. The corrected scores obtained by candidates are made equivalent to adjust the differences in the difficulty level since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts to arrive at the equated scores
  3. Scores obtained by candidates in any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms
  4. Final scores in each test are rounded off to up to two digits after the decimal point
  5. 1/4 of marks are deducted for wrong answers

IBPS Clerk Normalisation Process

The scores of candidates are calculated based on the normalisation process. Normalisation of marks is done using the equi-percentile method. The public sector banks in India offer lucrative salaries to Clerical cadre posts along with various perks, incentives and benefits. Therefore, the in-hand salary of an IBPS Clerk may range between INR 28,000 to 30,000 per month. The following allowances are offered to IBPS Clerk: Dearness Allowance: This component is 4 per cent of the Basic Pay. DA depends on the CPI and is revised after every three months. House Rent Allowance: The HRA is dependent on the location of the posting. It is 8.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for Metro Cities, 7.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for cities having a population of more than 5 Lacs, and 6.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for other cities. Travel Allowance: The official tours and travels will be reimbursed by the bank. Medical Allowance: For IBPS Clerks, the amount is fixed at INR 2000. Medical allowance is provided once in a year.
