RBI Exam 2025: The Reserve Bank of India will soon release the results of the RBI Grade B 2025 mains exam. The RBI Grade B notification and application form were released on September 10. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the central bank of India. It regulates the entire banking system with 30 offices all over the country. Every year, the RBI conducts several exams for recruitment to various posts such as Grade B and Assistant.

RBI Exam Eligibility 2025

RBI prescribes the eligibility for Assistant and Grade B officers in terms of age, educational qualification, nationality and the number of attempts. Candidates can check the RBI exam eligibility below.

RBI Grade B

Age Limit

The age of candidates should be between 21 and 30 years. For MPhil and PhD, the upper age limit will be 32 and 34, respectively. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to candidates belonging to the reserved categories

Educational Qualification

Grade B General: Graduation with 60 per cent (50 per cent in case of SC/ST/PwBD)

DEPR/DSIM: Master's Degree with 55 per cent and 50 per cent for SC, ST and PwBD candidates

Number of attempts

There is also a capping in the number of attempts. General category candidates who had appeared six times in the Phase I exam are not eligible to apply. There are no restrictions for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS candidates

Age Limit

The age of candidates should be between 20 and 28 years

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent

Q:   In which mode RBI Grade B exam is conducted?
A: 

RBI Grade B exam is conducted online only for General post. The Paper 1 of RBI Grade B exam is conducted online and carries questions from General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. The Phase 2 of RBI Grade B exam is conducted online. In Paper 1 of Phase 2 exam, candidates need to answer the questions in the descriptive paper with the help of the keyboard. In Paper 2 and 3 of Phase 2 exam, candidates need to type the descriptive answers with the help of the keyboard. Candidates opting to type the answers in Hindi in the descriptive test can do so with the help of either Inscript or Remington (GAIL) keyboards layout. RBI Grade B exam for DEPR and DSIM is conducted online and offline.

Q:   Is RBI Assistant exam easier than SBI Clerk?
A: 

RBI Assistant syllabus and SBI Clerk syllabus more or less comprises the same topics. However, there is a difference in the difficulty level. Both the exams are conducted for Clerical level posts. RBI Assistant exam is bit difficult than SBI Clerk exam. Both the exam comprises two stages of sekection process-prelims and Mains followed by the local language test. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are only counted for the final merit list.

RBI prescribes RBI Grade B syllabus for Phase 2 exam. The syllabus for Phase 1 is formulated based on the previous years' question papers. Topics from where questions are usually asked in the exam are included in RBI Grade B syllabus. Candidates should be well versed with the syllabus of RBI Grade B exam and prepare accordingly for the exam.

RBI Grade B declaration are required to be uploaded at the time of application. By writing this, candidates agree that the details provided are correct and valid. Only online applications are accepted for the exam.

The last date to fill RBI Assistant application form is notified by the examination authority. RBI Assistant application fee is INR 450 for OBC/General/EWS categories and INR 50 for SC/ST/PWD/EXS. Applicants can edit their application forms within the deadline prescribed by the examination authority. Any graduate candidate is eligible to apply for RBI Assistant exam. The several stages of application process comprises-registration, uploading the scanned photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form, previewing the application form and paying the application fees.
