SSC CGL Answer Key 2026: The authority will release the SSC CGL Tier 1 answer key 2026 within a week of an exam. It will be announced on the official website at ssc.gov.in. Candidates will be able to download their answer key by using the login credentials including the registration number and password. The question papers and candidate's response sheet will also be released along with the answer key.

The answer key for the Staff Selection Commission CGL exam will be released in two stages: Provisional and Final. Candidates will also be provided a chance to raise objection against the provisional answer key by paying INR 100 for each objection. The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC CGL Tier 1 answer key 2026 on its official portal - ssc.gov.in. The candidates can download the SSC Combined Graduate Level answer key in the following manner:

  • Visit ssc.gov.in.
  • Login with the OTR and password.
  • Go to exam dashboard.
  • Check and download the answer key PDF.

The SSC CGL exam is conducted every year by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for Group "B" and Group "C" posts in several government departments. It is conducted at the national level. The Staff Selection Commission is expected to conduct the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam in August-September 2026. The Commission will release the SSC CGL Tier 1 Answer Key 2026 at ssc.gov.in.

How to Calculate Scores through SSC CGL Answer Key?

Candidates need to first download their response sheet and the official answer key by visiting the official website to calculate their scores. The Commission assigns the marks in the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam in the following way:

  • +2 for each correct answer
  • -0.5 for each wrong answer.
  • 0 for each attempted question.

Those candidates who will appear in the examination for the SSC CGL recruitment required to check their cut off marks. The category-wise cut off marks will be provided here once it is released. The Commission will release the SSC CGL Cutoff 2026 PDF on its official portal along with the result. The Commission will conduct the SSC CGL exam online as a Computer-Based Exam (CBE). The candidates should note that the SSC CGL cutoff is different for all the categories even for the same post groups. The Commission will release the separate cut offs for several posts, including Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), Statistical Investigator Grade II, and other Group B and C posts. The Staff Selection Commission first releases the tentative SSC CGL answer key. This means that in case, a candidate is not satisfied with the answer of any question, s/he can challenge it on the official website of the commission in the prescribed format. However, the candidate has to pay INR 100 per question as fee for challenging the tentative answer key. Steps to raise objections against SSC CGL answer key are mentioned below:

  • Log on to the official website of SSC – ssc.gov.in
  • Click on the answer key notification link available on the Home page
  • Click on the answer key link given in the notification
  • Enter user ID and password
  • Click on Login
  • Go to the tab for raising objections
  • Follow the instructions and challenge the respective question/answer
  • Pay fee of INR 100 per question/answer in online mode

SSC CGL cutoff is the minimum marks that a candidate needs to qualify for their respective stage/tier of the exam. A higher number of vacancies means a lower cutoff for each stage of the exam because the Commission will be required to select a higher number of candidates in each stage.
