NTA has released the JEE Main Answer key 2026. The link to check JEE Main answer key 2026 is available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download JEE Main answer key response sheet by login to the website. Candidates have to use JEE Main login available at he website for JEE Main answer key download.

NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 question papers on Feb 4 with answer keys on the official website.

The JEE Main 2026 session 1 final answer key will be available soon before or with the JEE Mains result 2026.

The JEE Main Answer Key is an official document released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) that lists the correct answers for all questions asked on the exam day.

JEE Main answer key contains correct answers of questions asked in exam. There are question IDs with the correct answers that will also be in the form of answer IDs. Candidates must know that the JEE Main response sheet will have the record of the answers marked by the candidate in the exam. If any candidate thinks that the answers marked by him in actual exam and the one shown in JEE Main response sheet are different, the answers marked in response sheet will be final. No. JEE Main response sheet can't be challenged. As per NTA, there is no facility to raise objections against JEE Mains response sheet. The response sheet is the document which have details of answers attempted by the candidate during the exam.

Objections raising fee in JEE Main answer key is INR 200 per question. You can pay it online using internet banking or credit/debit card. The exact fees to be paid depends on total questions selected for grievance.

Use your JEE Main Application number and Password/date of birth to download the JEE Main answer key. After that log in to jeemain.nta.nic.in and enter your credentials to check answer key.

Students can download JEE Main previous year question paper from Shiksha page. Candidates are provided JEE Main previous year question papers from the year 2014 to 2025. The papers can be downloaded as PDF and can be practised to prepare for the exam. JEE Main previous year question paper also helps in understanding the difficulty level of the exam and chapter-wise weightage of questions. In case the JEE Main answer key challenge raised by the candidate is accepted, the NTA will send an email to the registered email address mentioning the details of question for which the objections has been accepted. The NTA will also send the details of correct answer for the questions.

JEE Main cutoff is released for different cateories which include

• Unreserved (Open category)
• Reserved Category
  • Gen-EWS
  • OBC-NCL
  • SC
  • ST
  • PwD

Candidates belong to any of the reserve category need to score above than the category cutoff to be eligible for JEE Advanced.

You can go find the marks from the answer key and response sheet. If one answer is correct, it's four marks. For an incorrect one, one mark is reduced. Then you can sum all.

The scores obtained through JEE Main answer key is marks out of 300. However, the result of JEE Mains is announced in percentile and not marks. Candidates can however get an idea of their percentile using JEE Mains marks vs percentile analysis.

JEE Main cutoff is of two types, one is qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced and the other is admission cutoff for the institutes. Qualifying marks for JEE Mains 2026, also called qualifying percentile for JEE Mains will be announced by the NTA along with the JEE Main 2026 session 2 result. Candidates must note that qualifying percentile for JEE Mains 2026 is the minimum percentile required to appear in JEE Advanced 2026. For admission to NIT or IIITs, there is no provision of qualifying marks in JEE Mains 2026 and admission is given based on All India Rank in JEE Mains exam. NTA will announce JEE Mains 2026 All India rank in April after session 2 exam results. 

CRL stands for the Common Rank List. NTA releases the cutoff in several categories one of which is CRL. Basically, CRL means unreserved category. Candidates belonging to unreserved category need to have JEE Main cutoff equal to or more than the CRL cutoff. The other categories for which cutoff is released are Gen-EWS, Open-PwD, OBC-NCL, SC and ST.

JEE Main result and scorecard are the same thing. After login to the website for checking their JEE Main result, students will SEE their scorecards with details of the percentile scores secured by them in each subject, aggregate percentile score, All India Rank and cutoff. Candidates need to download and take its printout. JEE Main result/scorecard is an important document and is required for counselling and admission process.
