JEE Mains 2027 Exam & Registration Dates (OUT): Session 1 & 2 Schedule for Application, Exam, Answer Key, Result

The session 1 exam of JEE Main 2027 is scheduled from January 20 to 28. The exact date for a candidates exam will be mentioned in their hall ticket. Therefore, the date on which one candidate appears may be different from that of another.

JEE Main 2027 exam date for second attempt is out. JEE Main 2027 Session 2 will be held on April 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, 2027. The second session is important for candidates who want another opportunity to improve their performance.

NTA has started JEE Main 2027 registration for session 1 exam. The registration and complete form filling process is online. The JEE Main application form 2027 is available at jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Mains registration 2027 for session 2 will start on January 5, 2027.

Candidates who fulfills the JEE Mains 2027 eligibility criteria can apply for the exam within the registration deadline. While filling the form, candidates have to upload a live photo, a scanned passport-sized photo, and their signature. OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST candidates need to include details of their certificate authority and date, while PwD/PwBD candidates must upload their UDID card/category certificates.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) provides the JEE Main form correction facility to modify/correct the information they have filled in the application. Note that not all details in the form can be changed. The exact details of information that can/cannot be changed will be provided once the correction facility opens. NTA will open the JEE Mains correction window 2027 from November 27 to 29. This opportunity for corrections will be available to all candidates who apply for JEE Mains 2027 by the application deadline. For session 2 forms, the correction window will be available from February 8 to 10, 2027.

When the JEE Mains form correction link is activated, all registered candidates must visit jeemain.nta.nic.in to verify their information. They are advised to make any necessary corrections to their application forms. Candidates should note that any additional fees (if applicable) must be paid during the correction process using a Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

NTA will release the JEE Main City Intimation Slip 2027 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. For session 1, the city slip will be out on December 30, 2026, and for session 2, the JEE Main 2027 city slip will be released on March 12, 2027.

The city intimation slip mentions details of the exam date and exam city of the candidate. Candidates must note that the exam city slip is different from the admit card. Note that NTA is not going to change the JEE Main 2027 exam date under any condition. NTA has clarified via the FAQs that, even if there is a clash with other state or national-level entrance exams, the JEE Main 2027 exam date will not be changed.

The NTA JEE Main admit card for session 1 will be released on January 13, 2027. For session 2, admit card will be released on March 25, 2027. Candidates who submit their application for the JEE Main 2027 exam receive a hall ticket to download and bring to the exam centre. They must also carry a valid photo ID (like a voter ID, PAN card, or driving licence) and a passport-size photo (the same as in the application). One colour printout of the NTA JEE Main Admit Card is required. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The NTA JEE Main answer key is released within a week after the completion of the JEE Mains 2027 exam. The provisional answer key is released first and is kept open for challenges from candidates. To download the answer keys, candidates have to log in with their application number and password. NTA opens a challenge window for candidates who wish to challenge the provisional key. The final JEE Mains answer key, released after reviewing the objections submitted by the candidates, is used to calculate the result/score of the candidates.

Also, NTA releases shift-wise JEE Mains question papers and uploads the response sheets of the candidates. By comparing the answer keys and response sheets, candidates can calculate their probable marks out of 300 in the exam.

The JEE Main result for 2027 is released online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates need to log in using their application number and password to check their results.

It is important for candidates to download their JEE Main results and keep them safe for the admission process, especially during counselling. The JEE Main result includes the candidate's normalised percentile scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as their aggregate percentile score across all three subjects.

Alongwith the results for Session 2 of the JEE Main, which is the final result for this examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will also release the JEE Main cut-off percentile. This cut-off represents the minimum percentile that candidates must achieve to qualify for JEE Advanced.
