MHT CET 2026 Registration: The Maharashtra State CET cell has started the MHT CET registration on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. The MHT CET application form for the PCM and PCB groups is also available now under the CET portal. The last date to apply for MHT CET is set as February 12.

To apply for MHT CET 2026, candidates have to first register on the CET portal and then apply for MHT CET. After MHT CET 2026 registration is done, candidates can proceed to fill the MHT CET 2026 application form. To submit the MHT CET 2026 application form, candidates have to submit the application fee online.

Only the registered MHT CET candidates are issued the MHT CET admit card 2026 to appear for the exam. Therefore, candidates must complete the application process before the MHT CET 2026 registration last date. CET cell has announced the MHT CET 2026 exam dates, and the exam will be held in two sessions, in April and May 2026. How to Apply for MHT CET 2026?

To apply for MHT CET 2026, candidates have to:

  1. First register at CET portal
  2. Login and fill MHT CET application form 2026
  3. Select exam centre, CET and pay application fee

The detailed explanation of above stages is given below:

Stage 1 - Register at CET Cell Portal

  • Visit the official website of MHT CET 2026: cetcell.mahacet.org.
  • Click on link for CET portal for year 2026-27.
  • Click on register link under “New User” section.
  • Enter details asked like your name, email ID, mobile number and date of birth.
  • Create a password.
  • Click on ‘Register’ button. After submitting above details, a verification link is sent to the email IDs of candidates. Candidates have to visit the mailbox and verify the email ID.
  • Next, candidates have to then click on "Proceed to Digilocker" to authenticate themselves with Adhaar and APAAR ID for MHT CET registration process.

Stage 2 - Login and Fill MHT CET Application Form 2026

After verification, candidates can then login on CET portal using registered email id and password they have created in the registration process.

Under the MHT CET 2026 login, candidates have to complete the MHT CET 2026 application form fill up. Some details in form will be prefilled from data fetched from registration stage.

Candidates will have to fill following details in the MHT CET form 2026:

  • Father’s name
  • Mother’s name
  • Gender
  • Religion
  • Region
  • Mother tongue
  • Nationality
  • Annual family income
  • Marital status
  • Address - present and current
  • Domicile
  • Minority details
  • PwD details
  • SSC - class 10 details
  • Class 12 appearing - yes/no and other details

After filling all these details, click the submit button. The candidates will then be navigated to their dashboard. 

Stage 3 - Select Exam Centre, CET and Pay Application Fee

  • On the dashboard, candidates have to select “registration” and a window will open with a list of all the CETs active for 2026.
  • Here, select the MHT CET exam.
  • Now fill the preferred exam city, qualification and category details.
  • Then candidates have to pay the applicable application fee.
  • After the application fee is paid, candidates have to take a printout of the filled and submitted form. Keep this document safe for all future reference.

Note: After completion of the MHT CET registration 2026, an application number will be generated. Also, the CET you have applied for will display “enrolled” in green.

As per the MHT CET exam information brochure, the difficulty level of MHT CET exam is similar to JEE Mains. Candidates are thus advised to prepare by keeping in mind that the questions in MHT CET will be of the same difficulty level as JEE Main. However, the syllabus of MHT CET is very less in comparison to JEE Main.

Documents Needed to Fill MHT CET Form - Aadhaar Mandatory (NEW)

Various documents are needed for MHT CET registrations. Candidates should keep these documents and information ready before the application process begins. They might need to refer them at various stages of MHT CET 2026 registration:

Important Instructions for MHT CET Registration 2026

Check important instructions for MHT CET registrations below:

  • The candidate should fill the form only from the official website mahacet.org.
  • Registration has to be done by entering personal details, a valid email address, and a phone number.
  • After the application procedure is complete, the Maharashtra State CET Cell will provide the option for corrections in filled application form. Candidates must log in with their Application Number and password to their account to edit the application form that has already been submitted.
  • The application fee can be paid only online. Application fee once paid shall not be refunded.
  • Candidates should avoid filling MHT CET application form through mobile.
  • Ensure that you do not leave any field vacant that is marked mandatory in MH CET 2026 application form
  • An incomplete MHT CET 2026 registration form will not be accepted

Candidates who are NRI/OCI/PIO or children of persons working in gulf countries can apply for BTech admission in Maharashtra. However, they do not need to appear in MHT CET exam. All such candidates need to fill the application form and appear directly for the counselling. Seats are reserved in every institute for OCI/PIO/NRI/Gulf Workers candidates. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of class 12/equivalent examinations.

MHT CET Application Form Correction 2026

The Maharashtra CET cell will provide the facility to make corrections in the filled MHT CET application form after the completion of the application process. To edit the MHT CET application form, the candidate has to login to official website using the registered email ID and password. The candidates can change the subject group, add a new subject group and edit the other details on the application form.

Candidates have to be very careful while filling the following 4 fields, as these are not allowed to be edited/updated by the candidates:

  1. Candidate Name
  2. Date of Birth
  3. Email ID
  4. Mobile Number

However, in case a candidate makes any mistake in filling up these fields and saves the form, they would have to ‘Raise a Ticket’ on the helpdesk module for updating these fields.
