How To Apply For CSIR NET 2026 Application Form?

Candidates can check methods to apply for the CSIR NET 2026 application form below:

The National Testing Agency has been entrusted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to conduct the NTA CSIR NET exam to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS) in Indian universities and colleges. Candidates should keep the documents ready as mentioned below before filling out the CSIR NET application form:

• Copy of Board or University Certificate for Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name and Date of Birth
• Identification – Bank A/c passbook with photograph/ Passport Number/ Ration Card/ Aadhaar Card Number/Voter ID Card Number/ Other Govt ID
• Qualifying Degree Certificate or last semester marks sheet
• Category Certificate, if applicable
• Self-Declaration Minority Community Certificate, if applicable
• Scanned Candidate’s photograph and signature in running hand in JPG/JPEG format only
• Result Awaited Certificate, if applicable
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate, if applicable
• Person with Disability (PwD) Certificate, if applicable

• First, candidates should register on the NTA official website by providing the valid email and mobile number. 
• Try to avoid to upload the blurry or old photographs.
• Check and don't submit the incorrect category certificates.
• Hand signatures should not be in a capital letter.
• Fill all the details carefully and check once.
• Pay the application fee online and save the transaction receipt.
• Before the final submission, preview the CSIR NET application form.
• Ensure to provide the name, father's name and date of birth correctly as mentioned in the official document, etc.

• Click on the 'Forgot Application Number' link
• Enter your name, father's name, mother's name and date of birth

How to Recover CSIR NET Application Form Password?

• Visit at csirnet.nta.nic.in
• Click on the CSIR NET Application Form button
• Click on the 'Forgot Password' link
• Choose any one option - security question/answer or verification code sent on mobile or reset link sent via email
• Reset the password

CSIR NET Application Correction Window will be activated for December session at csirnet.nta.nic.in. correction facility will be available from November 10 to November 12, 2026. Candidates who want to make corrections can check steps below:

• Visit at csirnet.nta.nic.in
• Click on application form correction tab at bottom of page
• Log in to registered account using application number and password
• Read instructions carefully and click on ‘I Agree’ checkbox
• Make required changes in application form
• Click on Submit button
• Verify entered details carefully
• Click on checkboxes under ‘Parameters checklist to be verified’ header
• Click on checkbox for declaration
• Click on Final Submit button
• Take a printout of revised confirmation page

Note: Since application form correction is a one-time facility, no candidate will be allowed to make corrections to form under any circumstances after facility closes. Therefore, candidates are advised to make corrections to online form carefully.
